Friday, the Governor of Arizona (my home state), signed a law that would allow police officers in the State of Arizona to require people to provide proof that they are in this country legally if there is reasonable doubt that they are. This has sparked protests among angry hispanics.
Well, I am hispanic. And, I am angry.
But, I am not angry at the State of Arizona for passing this law. As a matter of fact, I applaud them for having the guts to pass it. You see, first and foremost, I am an AMERICAN!!! My dad's family happens to be Mexican. So, I can relate to this issue. However, to say that this law violates the civil rights of people who are in this country illegally is just insane. It's the same as saying that the "Christmas Bomber" has the right to a lawyer. Or that we need to read the Miranda Rights to enemy combatants that are caught on the battlefield in Afghanistan. The Miranda Rights are part of our rights as AMERICAN citizens. They do not extend to people who come over here from other countries and try to blow up our citizens. They certainly do not extend to those who are here illegally. If they want to be afforded the same rights as a citizen of the United States of America, then, by all means, they need to abide by the laws of this country, the first of which, is to come into this country using the proper channels.
Our beloved king liberal has called the law misguided. But, what I see as misguided is the audacity to continually kick the American people in the face by attacking the Constitution. The very document that should be guiding everything that is done in this country. What I see as misguided is to treat with kid gloves the very people who attacked us on our own soil, and then have the ***** to say that they deserve to have a civilian trial in the very city that they attacked. To say that we have not treated these people in accordance with the Geneva Convention when the Geneva Convention is very forthright in saying that it is for people who follow the "Rules of War". That means that they wear a uniform, represent a country and do NOT attack civilians. All three of which the terrorists that this administration wants to put on trial in New York have violated. If the king liberal wants to talk about misguided, he should look in the mirror. But, then again, he is guided by a whole different set of principles than those that this country was founded on.
Now, don't get me wrong, I am all for immigration into this country. It is one of the things that has made this the greatest country in the world. The diversity that we have do to the different backgrounds that our citizens bring to the table is unmatched both in the present time and anytime in history. It is one of the things that makes this country unique and why it has been able to rise up to the status that it has in such a short amount of time. However, the immigration that I support, is the immigration of people who use the proper channels and push their way through to come here and make a better life for themselves and their families, NOT the kind that involves sneaking across an unprotected border like a common thief!! While I think it is great that so many people want to be here to earn a decent living, do it the proper way or else don't whine about it when we enforce the laws that are put in place to protect OUR CITIZENS!!
There is going to be a lot of debate over this issue during the coming months. People are going to say that we need to fix the current system. I agree. However, the quickest way to fix it is to enforce the laws that are in place now. Build the fence that was authorized a few years ago and then halted because the funding wasn't approved. Kick the people who are here illegally out of this country and tell them that they are welcome to come back, as long as they do it properly. You see, we don't really need to fix the illegal immigration problem, we just need to enforce what is already in place instead of passing a few laws, just to appease the constituents (us) and then letting them fall by the wayside.
By the way, in case you missed it, I am angry at the people who are here illegally and are whining about their rights under US laws. As far as I am concerned, they don't have any. They do have the right to be treated humanely, but, it stops there. They need to go back to their own countries, and, if they want to come here, then do it properly and be documented.

I saw this after I had completed my earlier post. I am impressed with Admiral Willard who actually kept a straight face.
See, this is why I could never be a politician. I would be in a debate against someone who would say something this stupid, to which, I would just have to say either, "Are you stupid?" or "How stupid are you?".

Well, this country has officially changed. It is no longer the country that I served for 20 years. The Democrats in Washington have made sure of that. They have let everyone know, in no uncertain terms, that the Constitution, the very document that is the framework for this Republic that we call home, doesn't matter anymore. At least not to them.
I have had a few days to mull over everything that has gone on up there. Now, I do not want to lay all of the blame on the Democrats. That is just the latest, albeit the largest, straw that broke the camel's back. Keep an eye on the things that they are going to try and do over the next few months, once Congress gets back from their break. From my reading, I believe that there are two more items that they will try and cram down our throats. Cap-and-Trade and Immigration Reform.
Reform, as a noun, means the improvement or amendment of what is wrong, corrupt, unsatisfactory. This is exactly what is happening in our country. The king liberal truly believes that this country has wronged others around the world. He believes that we are arrogant and wants to reform this country into something that it was not intended to be. He has gone around the world apologizing for the United States. He bows to leaders of other countries. He is demanding that we bow down to him and let him give away the very basic thing that we have in this country, our freedom. The freedom to choose how we live. This is what I have spent 20 years defending. The freedom of the people to live life the way they see fit. Not to have government make us change our lifestyle just because we don't eat properly, or drive the right car. This is where we are headed. The Democrats are going out and telling people that this is not what Health Care Reform does. Well, guess what? Nancy Pelosi already admitted that if the insurance companies raise their premiums, then they will not allow them to be part of the exchanges. Just about everything that they are telling you now is a lie. It is like she said before, "we have to pass it to find out what is in it." Now, what kind of sense does that make? Shouldn't we, the American people, be reasonably assured that our elected representatives have read the bills that they are voting on and know what is in them before they pass them?
As far as Cap-and-Trade, what kind of sense does it make to pass something that the king liberal himself admitted, "would necessarily cause energy prices to skyrocket." This does not sound like something that is good for the average American who is getting by by the skin of their teeth just to make sure all the bills are paid. These are the very people that he says he is trying to help. I have seen enough to know that he doesn't give a hoot about the average American. All he cares about is how much money he can take from people who show a little bit of success so that he can give it to people who are just looking for the next handout from the government. If the utility companies have to pay these Cap-and-Trade taxes guess who is actually going to pay them. The very same people who pay every corporation's taxes, THE CONSUMER!! It's simple economics. If a company has to pay more in taxes, then the cost of producing their product has gone up, so the price will have to go up accordingly. Far too many people are not seeing this simple logic, and the Democrats prey on that. They vilinize every company who is prosperous. They make them out to be the bad guys, when it is the Federal Government who is causing the prices of everything to skyrocket. Check out the FairTax link to the right to find out more.
Now, as far as Immigration Reform goes, I feel very strongly that everyone who has allowed Lindsey Graham to be the Republican candidate for Senate in South Carolina, should be ashamed of themselves. This man is not a conservative (at least not on this subject). He is co-sponsoring a bill, with a Democrat, that would put over 12million ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS on a path to citizenship. EXCUSE ME??? I think that the first idea of becoming a citizen of any country is that you should respect the laws of that country. These people have no respect for our laws. They have proven that by being here illegally to begin with. I do feel that reform is needed in this area, however, and I have a brilliant idea.......WHY DON'T WE ENFORCE THE LAWS THAT ARE ALREADY IN PLACE? We have plenty of laws in place already. We don't need anymore. Let's build that fence that Congress approved a few years ago. That would certainly help to at least curb the illegal migration across our southern border. Next, we need to enable our I.N.S. agents to actually do the jobs that they are hired to do. When we find illegal immigrants, they need to be deported. Just because they have had a kid in our country does not give them the right to be here. If they truly want to become a part of the American society then they can go through the proper legal channels and come here properly. This country was founded on the idea of immigration. I fully support immigration and the desire for people from other countries to come here to try their hand at making a better life for themselves, as long as they respect our laws and do it properly. I have visited other countries. They expect us to respect their laws. Why should it be any different here?
Keep an eye out for these issues over the next several months. The Democrats think they have the momentum now. They will try and ride it through at least one other tough issue. Stay informed and remember to vote in November, while we can still tell Washington how we feel at the ballot box.

The Mighty Casey has struck out.
I will ask your forgiveness before I start typing, because, I am so overwrought right now, that I don't know exactly what will come through my fingers.
Just as the story, it is a sad day in this country. This country that I have spent the greater part of my adult life defending has changed. The king liberal promised change. Well, last night, he got one of the big changes that he wanted. The House of Representatives, the people's representation in the federal government, voted last night (in case you haven't heard) and passed the Senate bill on what they call health care reform.
Obama promised to spread the wealth around. He gets his chance even more so now. This bill raises taxes on just about anyone who is successful and gives it to those who don't care to work for themselves. The Democrats are doing nothing more than punishing those who succeed and rewarding those who don't.
This is the United States of America. The only thing that has been promised since the founding of this country is that everyone will have the opportunity to succeed should they be willing to do the things that it takes to succeed. That is what has makes this country great!! The only thing that happened last night, is that our country has been weakened.
The vote last night looked at the Constitution and ripped it right in half!! Since when has the federal government been able to tell us that we need to buy something?
I watched as all of this unfolded. It made me truly sick to my stomach. I will admit to getting teary eyed when the House voted on Thursday to deny the block of the "Deem and Pass" rule. This signaled that there would be no way that the Republicans could block the passing of this bill. I am still teary eyed over the loss of the country that I so truly love.
There were two things that truly stuck out last night.
First: Nancy Pelosi must be a frequent visitor to one of those medical marijuana places that are out there in California. Last night she actually said that the "Stimulus" bill and the king liberal's budget together cut the deficit. If you call quadrupling the deficit and then writing a budget that lowered by 1/10 the deficit that you developed within the first 6 months of your administration lowering the deficit, then, I guess she was right. The deficit was lowered, slightly, only after running up the massive debt that this country is now under. The Heritage Foundation rates many economies as to there relative freedom. We are no longer the free-est economy in the North America. That title belongs to Canada. We are even in danger of dropping off of the list that would be called "economically free" economies. That's great change.
Second: Bart Stupak (D-MI), the supposedly pro-life Democrat who held out on the House's bill, passed in October but could not get past the Senate, until federal funding for abortion was removed from the bill, made a deal with the king liberal stating that there would be an executive order preventing federal funding for abortion. Well, that wording is not in the bill that was passed last night. And, guess what, the law is superior to an executive order. That means, that no matter what the king liberal says, once he signs this bill, tomorrow, then the federal government will be funding abortion. This man had the audacity to get up there in the House and put down the Republicans for offering an amendment to the bill, that, by the way, would have killed it, that would prevent the federal funding of abortion. He said that it was just a trick by the Republicans to try and defeat this necessary bill. They were standing up for the very thing that he prided himself for standing for and caved in. And he criticized them!!
These two things were by far the most hypocritical things that I saw as all of this unfolded.
This country is no longer the country that I love. No longer the country that I have defended. All I can right now, is to apologize to my children for not being able to pass down the country that I love. I vowed to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I have a feeling of failure in this. I could not defend it against the domestic enemies that continue to ravage it. I apologize to every American who holds the Constitution dear to there hearts, as I do.
Please don't take this as meaning that I have given up. There are many more things that are going to happen as a result of all of this. I will continue to look for ways that I can be involved in fighting for the Constitution. I can not stand idly by and watch the destroying of this country. And, you shouldn't either. Stand up and let the people in Washington know that we do NOT approve of the government taking over and telling US what to do.

The king liberal, Barack Obama, once said that you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.
Well, guess what......
That was the most profound and truthful thing that I have ever heard come out of his mouth.
Right now, as I am typing, Nancy Pelosi is doing everything she can to pass the Senate bill on health care reform. By all reports, at this moment, she does not have the votes, and it is not likely that she will get the votes. Step in Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY). She just happens to be the Chair of the House Rules Committee. She is the one who is saying that they should just "deem the bill to be passed" and pass a reconciliation bill to fix the problems (reconciliation only needs 51 votes in the Senate to pass). This way, the House would not have to vote on the Senate bill and everyone can go back to their districts and tell us that they didn't vote for the bill. THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!! That means something to me. The Constitution is the very founding and core principles upon which this nation has become the greatest nation that the world has ever seen. What is happening in OUR House of Representatives right now goes against every fiber of my being. I dare to say that the very people we have voted to represent us in Washington, D.C. are enemies to the Constitution.
There are a couple of problems with this. As I pointed out yesterday, along with many other people, the Constitution says that every bill that goes before the President shall be "passed" by both houses. Also, along with this, the rules of the House say that any reconciliation bill has to lower the deficit by at least $2Billion over the next 5 years. Any proposal they have to change the bill would raise the deficit. You see, reconciliation was put in place for proposals to reduce the deficit. Not to take over 1/6 of the nation's economy. Lastly (I'm sure I could come up with more problems, but, this is enough for now), why would the Senate pass any changes to a bill that they already passed? They don't see anything wrong with the bill. They already voted on it. My fear is that the House will vote on changes to the bill and pass it straight up to the "DEEMED" to be passed Senate bill for the President's signature, bypassing the Senate on the changes. Why not? They are bypassing the Constitution on passing the Senate bill, why not bypass it for the changes?
Why are they needing to do all this? A look back at what Louise Slaughter said about the Senate bill when it passed the Senate:
"[U]nder the Senate plan, millions of Americans will be forced into private insurance company plans, which will be subsidized by taxpayers. That alternative will do almost nothing to reform health care but will be a windfall for insurance companies. … Supporters of the weak Senate bill say “just pass it — any bill is better than no bill.”
I strongly disagree — a conference report is unlikely to sufficiently bridge the gap between these two very different bills. It’s time that we draw the line on this weak bill and ask the Senate to go back to the drawing board. The American people deserve at least that."
Even the leadership in the House don't want to pass the Senate bill. But, don't be fooled, it isn't because they don't want the government to take over the insurance industry, and our health care, they do. They believe that the Senate bill does not do enough. They want to destroy everything sooner. The problem is that they know they cannot get their ideas passed. They blame the Republicans for this. However, they have, for well over a year now, had control over both Houses in the Congress and the White House. They even had a filibuster proof Senate. There was NOTHING that the Republicans could do to stop the Democratic agenda. The Democrats had everything in place to run with what ever they wanted. They even have a man in the White House who is as liberal as the most liberal among them. They can call the Republicans "obstructionists" all they want. THEY CAN'T GET THEIR AGENDA PAST THEIR OWN PARTY!!!
I have served this country for over 20 years. With the words that I will defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. No one can say that people serve in the armed forces for the money. My family lived from paycheck to paycheck for quite a few years. I did it, as do most people who make it a career, for the love of this country and the citizens herein.

I have to admit, that I have not taken the time to put my thoughts down in this blog. A lot of things have happened over the past 6 months. I have now officially retired from the Navy, started a new job, and moved my family (hopefully for the last time). I am still busy, but there is too much going on that has a direct affect on the very things that I spent 20 years defending. So, it is time for me to start back up and put my thoughts out there for everyone to read.
As I stated when I started this, I know that everyone is not going to agree with me, but, this is how I see things and how I feel, along with a few facts to back some things up. If you agree with me, great. If not, well, that is your right and I respect your right to disagree with me. After all, I have spent the greater part of my adult life defending your rights.
Today, there is a lot of talk about the "Health Care Reform" bill that is before the House of Representatives. This bill has been passed by the Senate. However, at least two votes were bought by giving concessions to Louisiana and Nebraska. The American people have consistently made the politicians in D.C. know how they feel about all of this. Every poll that is out there right now will show that there are some aspect of the bill that the majority of people may support, however, when it comes to the bill in its entirety, NO poll shows that the majority of Americans are for it. Every one shows that the majority of the American people do not want this bill to be passed.
What's the House of Representatives solution? They want to DEEM the bill to be passed and have started working on the fixes that they will propose to the bill once it becomes law. Now, anyone who has even read the Constitution can tell you that this blatantly goes against the Constitution. More precise, Section 7, Paragraph 2 of Part I. It actually says that any Bill that has PASSED both houses has to go to the President for his signature or veto. The point is, they can't just DEEM a bill, they have to pass it. Their strategy for all of this is very simple. They get their health care bill into law and nobody has to admit that they voted for it when the elections come around in November.
If this is such a good piece of legislation, why in the world does the King Liberal himself have to go out on a campaign to try and convince the American public that this is what is best for us. He has even postponed a trip to the Far East over this.
Alright, now, a few things that upset me about what all is going on.
First; For 20 years I swore to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic. I believe in the Constitution. I believe in America. I believe in the American people. I also feel that the Constitution and the American People are under attack by the very people that have been elected to represent us in OUR government. Our very way of life is at stake here. We must continue to fight for our way of life. Ronald Reagan was right when he said that freedom is never more than a generation from extinction. It is time to tell these people what we think of them.
Second; We have nothing to apologize for. Why in the world is this leader of ours, going around and apologizing for us. All we have done is defend our allies and tried to rid the world of evil. We won the Cold War because we had the backbone to defend our way of life. There is no reason to apologize for that.
Third; Why don't we teach our children more about the founding of our country? Not the watered down version that is being taught today, but, the real, no kidding founding of our country. I would be willing to bet that very few College graduates would be able to tell you what the Constitution or Declaration of Independence says. We don't teach these things any more.
Fourth; The villanization of Corporate America. Just because someone works hard, and makes a success of their lives, doesn't mean that they are bad. As a matter of fact, what kind of sense does it make to tax corporations? What they don't tell you is that the corporations do not pay any taxes. The taxes go down as part of the cost of production and, therefore, are reflected in the price of their products. WE PAY THEM!!
Fifth; Why in the world does South Carolina keep voting for Lindsey Graham? He is now talking about immigration reform again. I have an idea, let's ENFORCE the laws that we have in place and get rid of all the people who are here illegally! They don't deserve to have the same rights as I do under OUR Constitution. Fund and build the wall that passed through Congress years ago.
Sixth; Why are we giving Constitutional rights to terrorists???!!!
Seventh; Why are ignorant people allowed to vote? Where I believe that everyone should have a voice in their government, I also feel that this last election was very much a tribute to how uninformed our population actually is. I find it very scary that we have more information at our fingertips with the internet than at any time in our history, yet, when it comes to electing the people to represent us in OUR government, quite a few people fall far short of knowing exactly what they are voting for.
Well, I guess this enough for now. I will promise to write MUCH more frequently. I feel like I need to be better at this as I am getting more and more frustrated.
Watch what happens in the House of Representatives over the next couple of days. If they try and pass a reconciliation package before they pass the bill, then everyone in America should be shouting "FOUL" at the top of their lungs. They can't just deem a bill to be passed. They HAVE TO VOTE. The king liberal himself, has said time and time again, the time for debate has passed. It is time to vote. WE DESERVE an up and down vote, RIGHT NOW!! It would not pass and everyone knows it. The Democratic Party thinks that they need this to save the Presidency of Obama. What good is it if we save his presidency at the expense of our Country? OUR country is under attack, from the worst kind of enemy. The enemy within. They are attacking the very founding of our country and they are not even trying to hide it anymore. They don't care about us. All they care about is making the American people more and more dependent on the Government to make it from day to day. Then, they can control our very lives and how we live.

I saw the first video that I am posting today on Thursday. Glen Beck said that this man just came up to him. I am pretty sure he was in Harlem for the interview in the second video. Each video is a little over 3 minutes in length. The first man didn't vote for the king liberal. The second one did, but, is now asking himself why?
I know what I am about to say is nowhere near politically correct, but, at the end of the Civil War, did we just trade one form of slavery for another? Most of the politicians in Washington would just as soon keep the citizenry of the United States ignorant of the facts. They want to tell us what is best for us. This is the very same reason we fought for our independence from England. The more people they can make dependent on the Federal Government, the better. That means the more votes they get.
This is not the way things were supposed to be. The power was supposed to be with the local and state governments.
"WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, PROVIDE for the common defence, PROMOTE the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
The only thing that the Federal Government is supposed to PROVIDE is the defense of this great nation and all the citizens under the Constitution. It is not supposed to provide for the the general Welfare, it says to PROMOTE the general welfare. These mean two totally different things, and the people in Washington are telling us they are doing all the things they are doing to look out for the little people. THAT IS NOT THEIR JOB!!!!
The states are supposed to be the more powerful governments. They are supposed to have a say in how the Federal Government is run. This is why, before the 17th Ammendment, each State Legislature appointed two Senators. They were to represent the State at the Federal level. The House of Representatives is supposed to be the people's representatives.

I truly can't believe that I am letting all of this get to me, but, I put in 20 years of my life in defense of this country and its Constitution. I put in 20 years of my life so that people could live in peace and be able to say the things that are on their minds without worry. I put in 20 years of my life so that my generation and the generations that follow could know what it is like to live under a blanket of freedom. The freedom to choose what is best for us individually. Not have a bunch of people with an agenda to remain in power tell us how to live our lives and what is best for us. We need to do everything we can to take this government back. And we need to do it NOW!
