You Decide

Remember that slogan? You decide......and what ever year it is. Well, this is my version.

I just read a story about Obama that I think everyone in America should know. I haven't heard or read this in any "main stream" media. I found it on NewBusters while I was looking at something about the Saddleback Church interviews and the "cone of silence" that the Obama campaign is claiming was broken (i.e. McCain cheated and was able to hear the questions and answers before he went on stage). I am not going to waste my time with this, because, even though I acknowledge the fact preachers are human, I tend to believe what he is telling us and McCain did not know any more questions than Obama did before he went on stage. In fact, Obama was actually given one more question than McCain.

So, with that said, let's look at something that Obama has been claiming for the past 6 years, just to have his campaign admit that he has been lying the whole time. This is his record on abortion. And how he voted, while he was a senator in the Illinois State Senate, on something called the Born Alive Infants Protection (BAIP) act.

According to NewBusters, Obama said that he voted against BAIP because it didn't have the Federal "neutrality clause", otherwise, he would have voted for it. In fact, that very clause was put into the bill in question by the very committee for which Obama was the chair. That's right, he was the leader of the committee that put the very clause that he says wasn't in the bill.

This story first broke on NewBusters on August 13. In an August 16 interview, Obama actually said that anyone who doubts his word on his BAIP vote is a liar. The very same day that the interview aired, Obama's campaign came out with a statement in the New York Sun:

"His campaign yesterday acknowledged that he had voted against an identical bill in the state Senate, and a spokesman, Hari Sevugan, said the senator and other lawmakers had concerns that even as worded, the legislation could have undermined existing Illinois abortion law. Those concerns did not exist for the federal bill, because there is no federal abortion law."

Now, this man has claimed for six years that the clause did not exist in the bill that he voted against. This is a bill that protects the rights of all infants born alive. Even those who are born as a result of an induced abortion. He voted against it.

So, on top of supporting the Roe v. Wade decision that made abortion legal, which by the way, goes against what he says he believes in, he even supports not protecting the rights of babies that are born alive due to the induction of abortion.

How can he possibly believe that he will win America's vote when he totally supports something that goes against his core beliefs? He's a hypocrite, that's how. He also has a sense of privilege.

How can this man get away with lying for six years and the media doesn't even have a story about it? They can't admit that they are just as far out left as he is. The favoritism that is being shown is so obvious it isn't even funny anymore.

When I read things like this, I just get so mad that this man's past sure seems to be off limits by the media. Anything that would make him look bad is not shown or covered. I will even go as far as believe that the only reason the whole interview at Saddleback was shown, was because people thought he would win with now problem. But, as I have pointed out before, the man can not put a coherent thought together on his own. If he is speaking off the cuff, he hims and haws like nobody's business and does everything he can to avoid the question altogether.

Is this really someone we want leading our country?
