You have, I am sure, been hearing a lot about the AIG bonuses and all of that mess. Well, since the House was able to pass a 90% retroactive tax on the bonuses paid to AIG executives. Well, I heard this next thing first on Neal Boortz's show, then on Rush Limbaugh's show. Now, I have read it for myself. So, here it is for you to read.
"[I]n a little-noticed move, the House Financial Services Committee, led by chairman Barney Frank, has approved a measure that would, in some key ways, go beyond the most draconian features of the original AIG bill. The new legislation, the “Pay for Performance Act of 2009,” would impose government controls on the pay of all employees — not just top executives — of companies that have received a capital investment from the U.S. government. It would, like the tax measure, be retroactive, changing the terms of compensation agreements already in place. And it would give Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner extraordinary power to determine the pay of thousands of employees of American companies.
The purpose of the legislation is to “prohibit unreasonable and excessive compensation and compensation not based on performance standards,” according to the bill’s language. That includes regular pay, bonuses — everything — paid to employees of companies in whom the government has a capital stake, including those that have received funds through the Troubled Assets Relief Program, or TARP, as well as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
The measure is not limited just to those firms that received the largest sums of money, or just to the top 25 or 50 executives of those companies. It applies to all employees of all companies involved, for as long as the government is invested. And it would not only apply going forward, but also retroactively to existing contracts and pay arrangements of institutions that have already received funds.In addition, the bill gives Geithner the authority to decide what pay is “unreasonable” or “excessive.”
And it directs the Treasury Department to come up with a method to evaluate “the performance of the individual executive or employee to whom the payment relates.”
The bill passed the Financial Services Committee last week, 38 to 22, on a nearly party-line vote. (All Democrats voted for it, and all Republicans, with the exception of Reps. Ed Royce of California and Walter Jones of North Carolina, voted against it.)"
This includes companies that didn't even want to take the TARP money, like Wells Fargo, but were strong armed into taking money. Now, they won't even have control over what they are going to pay people within their own company. These companies have totally lost control over their own destinies. Just like General Motors and Chrysler.
Let me tell you about something else. You know that part of the king liberal's plan is to force the auto makers to make more hybrids and other alternative energy source cars. Well, let's look at GM for a moment. They have 20 models of cars that are making a profit for them. Of those 20 models, 11 are trucks or SUV's. So, under the government control that GM now falls into, these 11 vehicles that are making the profit for the company are going to go away. Does that make any sense? Not to me it doesn't.
So, this all begs the question, who is coming up with all of this? Well, this all started when the Sierra Club started attacking all the SUV's. It is the liberal environmentalists that are driving all of this. Just the same as they are driving all of the Climate Change nonsense. They want everyone to live the way that they CHOOSE to live. They don't want people to live the way that they want to if it is not in line with what they believe. THIS IS NOT FREEDOM. This is not what I have spent the greater part of my adult life defending. They finally have people in charge of this country who will listen to them and push their agenda.
The Democrats made a push to gain control over this country in the 1930's with the New Deal. They made another push in the 1960's with the Great Society. Now they are making an even greater push this year. Many of them have been quoted as saying that a crisis is opportunity. An opportunity for what? An opportunity for the democrats to try and get their agendas passed.
I am now going to ask, did anyone else notice that when the king liberal was sworn in, that the Constitution was not even mentioned? I believe that that is because he never had any intention in upholding the Constitution. As a matter of fact, he is doing everything he can do to make the Constitution a thing of the past. All of the liberties and freedoms that were guaranteed to us by the Constitution are under attack. And we are under attack by the worst of all enemies, the enemies from within. It isn't really about people, it is about how the Democrats can gain control.
We need to fight to get our country back, because, right now, it is no longer ours. It is under attack and we are the only one's who can save it and save our way of life.

Alright, even though I have been off line for a little while, trying to figure out what I am going to do with my life as well as trying to catch up with my school work, I have been listening and paying attention to what is going on. And, I will tell you, I am sick of all of it.
This administration seems hell bent on trying to get a hold of everything they can control and push their values on everyone. And, they are being helped right along the way by the Congress. I have made the point before that the auto makers should just restructure under bankruptcy. Well, they are learning that lesson right now. The king liberal, today, announced that the restructuring plan that GM and Chrysler came up with were not good enough. WHAT DOES HE KNOW??!! He has NEVER run anything before in his life. He has no sense of what is needed to run a corporation. So, at the request of the administration, the CEO for GM resigned. This is the same thing that is happening to AIG (and every other financial institution that has received money from the government). The administration is starting to tell everyone what they need to do. They are telling financial institutions what they can pay the people who work for them. They are telling Chrysler who they can partner with (FIAT). They are telling GM who their CEO is going to be.
I said in my last post that this was the great wealth confiscation. I take this back. It is the Greatest effort in Government take over of private industry that has ever taken place. If it seems that something like this has happened somewhere before, it has. Just look at what Hugo Chavez has done to Venezuela. It is essentially the same thing. He has taken over everything and threatened anyone who opposes him. The king liberal is doing, essentially, the same thing. They are playing on peoples emotions that this "crisis" is reason enough for the actions that he is taking. He is accusing people of being the "evil rich". Those greedy people who have caused this whole thing to begin with. This whole thing started back in the '90's . Congress was even warned about it in 2005. But, the Democrats then, decided not to do anything about it. They called it a witch hunt. Now, those same Democrats are blaming George Bush. They receive thousands of dollars from the people they are crying about making too much money now. They can't have it both ways.
In California, they want to outlaw certain colors of cars. Like black because the color absorbs heat, therefore, they believe that the air conditioning will work harder and, thus, create a bigger carbon footprint.
These people want to be able to tell us everything that we can and cannot do. The book 1984 is here. We must stop this insanity!! I read that the middle class will go away and then, another point of view that it won't. Well, the second person was right. It won't go away. We will all be middle class. Even those people who are making a ton of money right now. The government will make it where they will not be able to make that much money anymore. Because if they do, they will be taxed until they don't want to work anymore. This is what is going on. It isn't about bringing the poor class up to the middle class. It is about driving the upper class down to the middle class. We make too much money. There is not one thing that has come out that is about people helping themselves to make more money to improve their station. It's all about how can we punish those who have the audacity to make more money when there are people who make so little. That became evident when the House passed a 90% tax on bonuses that everyone in the administration knew were going to be paid to AIG executives. The loophole was put in during a joint discussion on the bill so that they could get the thing passed. The only people who didn't know this was going to happen were the people not in the "closed door joint negotiation session" because they didn't have time to read the bill before voting on it.
It doesn't take much at all to see a bunch of hypocracies in what is actually going on and what is being told to the people of this nation. I don't know if I can keep up with it all.
So, the socialism experiment is fully under way and the captialism that has made this country great is very much in danger of becoming a thing of the past.

The first thing I am going to do is apologize ahead of time. I am going to be a little sporadic in posting. It seems there has been a huge change of plans and I will be changing jobs in the very near future. So, I have some other things that I have to do to make sure my family is taken care of. I am sure most of you will understand.
Now, on with the post. I will start with a quote.
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the
other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
This was said by the late Dr. Adrian Rogers.
This is the exact reason that the current tax system has to go. The Democrats have used the tax codes to entice citizens to vote for them. Now, we are very close to the point that over half of the people in this country will not be paying taxes or even get more money back from the government. Why would people vote against something if they are getting something out of it? This describes socialism. It's when we take things from people based on their ability and give it to people based on their needs. This is the idea that the king liberal explained in the campaign and it is the same thing that Karl Marx said way back in his time. It isn't anything new. It ISN'T change.
Now, let us look at some of the other things that have been going on while our lawmakers and administration are distracting the rest of the company with these AIG bonuses.
Yesterday they moved to put another $5Billion into the auto industry. That was on top of the announcement to print an additional $1Trillion to buy up treasury bonds and mortgage securities sold by the government.
Barry Ritholtz, a financial blogger, tallied up $8.5Trillion in bailout costs between December 2008 (not including $5.2Trillion in the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac portfolios that we are now responsible for).
$50Billion (at least) proposed by Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner to bail out home owners and lenders who need the money because they made bad decisions to begin with.
He also wants to spend an additional $2.5Trillion on the next bank bail out.
The Senate just passed a $10Billion bill that is filled with pork. And, it is immune from amendment. Meaning, no one can change it.
Oh, yes, and don't forget the $410Billion spending bill that was passed two weeks ago.
The House passed a $6Billion volunteerism bill (the "GIVE Act").
Coming soon, the "cap-and-trade" global warming plan. Cost: $2Trillion (nearly three times the White House's original estimate).
And, at last, the health care scheme. Estimated cost: $1.5Trillion over the next decade.
In case you weren't adding all of this up, it comes to over $21Trillion. That's, $21,000,000,000,000. Just to put all of this into perspective, they have been ranting about how much money we have spent in Iraq. The total we have spent to fight on the front in Iraq is $8Billion. ($800,000,000,000). Even more prospective, that is the same amount that the "stimulus" bill spent (and I didn't even mention that one).
Now, how bad does the $165,000,000 that AIG paid to private citizens look? Especially when the Administration and Congress knew that this was going to happen to begin with. It was written into the "stimulus" plan. Chris Dodd has admitted to it. Of course, that was after he first said that he knew nothing about it. Then, it came out that he actually wrote the amendment. And at the very least, Tim Geithner was one of the ones pushing for it. So, they all knew. Now, they are running around like they are outraged and even have the audacity to say they are going to tax the bonus money by 90%!! The great wealth confiscation is beginning. Even Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac employees are saying they will walk if they don't get the bonuses that they are under contract to receive over the next year.
This administration and Congress are going to cause us to go even further into the recession. The only way they can pay for all of this is to raise taxes (this will stifle investing and peoples success) and print more money (this will cause inflation because the dollar will be devalued).
This is where this country is headed. This is where the king liberal and all of the other liberal leaders are leading us.
So, WELCOME TO THE GREAT AMERICAN WEALTH CONFISCATION!!

Over the past couple of days I have been reading about something that really just sets my skin crawling. I still can't even come to grips with it.
It seems that the king liberal is so against the military that he is ready to propose a bill that would require Disabled Veterans to have their private insurance companies reimburse the federal government for their medical bills. So, thank you very much for serving your country and defending the very freedoms that we hold dear, but, we are not going to help you with those injuries you sustained while performing that service.
I can't even begin to tell you how upset this makes me. Some of us have spent the majority of our adult lives defending this country. Everyone who has served in the military DESERVES to be respected for their service. Not have our faces slapped.
Don't get me wrong, I am not asking for a handout. I just believe that it isn't too much to ask that the government cover the medical costs for disabilities incurred while on active duty in service of the country.
I know that the Democrats have had a history of disrespecting the military. So, this doesn't come as too much of a surprise. I mean, look at the track record. Pelosi and Reid both said in 2006 that the war was lost. This was before we even started to deploy the troops that they voted to send. They don't respect the military. They don't have any regard for the military. This is just the icing on the cake.
On a side note; tonight at 6pm EST, the Fair Tax will be discussed for one hour on the House floor. The discussion will be on C-SPAN. It may be a little late depending on other things on the schedule. But, they will be discussing how the Fair Tax is exactly what we need to pull us out of this recession and improve the economy right now. Hopefully, they will actually explain the whole thing well. So, please, tune in.

A big story today is that AIG, which, by the way, is now 79.9% owned by the Federal Government, gave out $165Million in retention bonuses. The king liberal today pretty much bashed the company for doing this, however, he singled out CEO Edward Liddy as not having anything to do this.
FoxNews reported today that in a letter to Treasury Secretary Geithner on Saturday, Liddy said, "We cannot attract and retain the best and brightest talent to lead and staff the AIG businesses which are now being operated on behalf of the American taxpayers." This is exactly the same thing that I have said over and over again. The article also says that the White House conducted its own analysis of the bonus contracts and agreed they are binding. So, if you have already looked into it, and agree that these bonuses must be paid, how can you turn around and bash the company for trying to fulfill its contracts?
The reason is very simply this, when the company took bail-out money, they pretty much agreed to fall slave to the whims of the people running the government, right now, the Democrats. He rips this company, however, he wasn't surprised by it. All it is doing is giving him more ammunition to feed the class envy and scare the American people into going along with everything that he wants.
This is all part of his scheme. He is trying to turn our country into a socialist country. Instead of trying to inspire people to do their best and get ahead, he is punishing the people who do well in this country and rewarding those who are expecting the payout for doing nothing. It's all here, in this one issue. AIG has contracts to reward the best and brightest people to try and help it recover, the people who do the best work, and yet, they are the bad guys for trying to do the right thing.
This is exactly how FDR got the New Deal to pass with such ease in the 1930's. It is how the king liberal got the $800Billion "stimulus" package to pass. He even had three Republicans who agreed to it because we needed to do something. Even though doing nothing was better than doing what we did.
One thing that they are not reporting, AIG received about $173Billion in bailout money. They paid $94Billion to other banks they owed money to (of course, most of these banks are in Europe). So, the $165Million is less than 10% (1/10) of the money they received from the government.
Again, they are trying to make the American people mad at the greedy businesses that actually hire people and will be the backboard for getting us out of this recession. Privately owned companies are the ones who hire people. If they are paying more in taxes, because they make more than $250,000, then they don't have as much to pay their employees. Plus, the costs go up, so the price of their products go up. This is how economics works. It really isn't that hard. If we want the economy to grow, do things that will encourage people to better themselves.
The owner of the Miami Dolphins was trying to sell the team when it became apparent that the king liberal was going to win the election. He knew that the taxes were going to kill him. I have read countless other stories where people were trying to renegotiate contracts or other such things so that they would fall below the $250,000 limit for tax cuts so that their taxes would not be raised. This is exactly what I have been writing about. This Administration is bent on punishing people who do well. This is NOT America.
Let's not forget the fact, in all of this, that AIG is allowing $165Million to enter into the economy because the people who are getting these bonuses will now have this money to spend.

Yesterday, in a speech, the king liberal announced that the economic problems faced by this country is "not as bad as we think." What? All the way up to this point, he has said that, in the economy, this country was facing a "crisis of epic proportions." Which is it? If he thinks by all of a sudden telling us that things aren't so bad that he is going to instill confidence he is sadly mistaken.
He continues to change his mind on just about everything. He said that he would withdraw all troops from Iraq, now, he plans to leave about 30,000. The economy is in crisis, now, it's not so bad. Change must come to Washington, however, he continues to surround himself with people who have been apart of the Washington scene for quite some time. His excuse for this, "it only makes sense, with my inexperience, to surround myself with people from the last democratic administration." Which, by the way, contradicts his insistent pleas, during the campaign, that he had the experience to do what needed to be done. There is just no end to his hypocrisy.
On a brighter note, it appears that people in Congress are finally starting to see through all of the smoke screens. Senator Judd Gregg, the one who pulled his nomination for Commerce Secretary due to irresolvable conflicts with the administration, actually told Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner that the administration's budget forecast was a lie. He said that "the argument that it cuts the debt in half in four years is, ahh, is truly spurious." Now, this is a man of whom the king said, "He shares my deep-seeded commitment to guaranteeing that our children will inherit a future they can afford." So, the fact that he is now pointing out the obvious fact that the administration is on a track to do exactly the opposite is quite telling.
On top of that, there are four governors who are not taking stimulus money. There are several reasons. Gov. Bobby Jindal, Louisiana, said that taking the money and spending it the way he will have to will violate state law. The same goes for Gov. Mike Sanford, South Carolina. The Texas Governor has actually said that it would be irresponsible for him to take money to pay out at levels that would cause him to raise taxes to maintain. Again, looking down the road to protect the people.
This is the type of people we need running our country. Fiscally conservative people who will not spend more money than they have. Oh, yes, that is what the king promised, too. Now he has us so far in debt it will take decades to climb our way out.
What the Federal Government is trying to do is model itself after California. Governor Schwarzenegger promised to limit government when he was running for office. He instead has expanded the government in California by 40%. The state is billions of dollars in debt. They cannot afford to pay the people that they have hired. They are on the verge of bankruptcy.
We have a chance to stop all of this. We can write to our legislators now and tell them exactly how we feel. As well as look forward to elections next year and push to get a Republican majority so that we can block the king's socialist agenda.
I am going to actually make a plug for something. If you are interested, please check out the Fresh Tea Daily blog. They are planning a Tax Day Tea Party nationwide. I am pretty sure there is at least one planned in every state. We can't continue down the path we are headed. It's time to come to action.
As the Declaration of Independence so eloquently states;

Now, I am NOT saying that we need to overthrow the government or anything like that. What I am saying is that we need to take it back. We need to remind these people that they work for us, not the other way around.

Now, I will admit, I first heard this from Rush Limbaugh. However, it is a story on the Fox News website. Read the following from the Fox News report:
"On the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, just minutes before learning of the terrorist attacks on America, Democratic strategist James Carville was hoping for President Bush to fail, telling a group of Washington reporters: "I certainly hope he doesn't succeed."
Carville was joined by Democratic pollster Stanley Greenberg, who seemed encouraged by a survey he had just completed that revealed public misgivings about the newly minted president.
"We rush into these focus groups with these doubts that people have about him, and I'm wanting them to turn against him," Greenberg admitted."
Minutes later, as news of the terrorist attacks reached the hotel conference room where the Democrats were having breakfast with the reporters, Carville announced: "Disregard everything we just said! This changes everything!"
Do you believe this? These people actually told reporters that they hoped President Bush to fail and then, eight years later, turn around and attack Rush Limbaugh for saying the same thing when the king liberal takes office. And the attacks keep coming. They started from the top. The king himself even told House Republicans that nothing was going to be able to get done if all they do is listen to Rush. Mr. Gibbs, the king's press secretary, even went as far as to say that Rush Limbaugh was the head of the Republican party.
These people will do anything to try and distract this country from what they are actually doing. What they are doing, is destroying the very economic fabric of this country. As well as doing everything in their power to throw out the Constitution and reconstruct this country into a socialist society with them in power. They are doing everything they can to punish people who work hard and make a little bit of money and reward those who want to sit around on their hind parts and let the government take care of them. It's patriotic to pay more taxes. That's what Biden said.
I saw in the news this morning where Bill Gates is now the richest man in the country. He lost $18Billion last year. The reason that he is #1 now is because Warren Buffett lost $25Billion. Now, I know that I will probably never see that kind of money in my lifetime, however, I am not envious of these men who have gone out and earned it. They have worked hard for every bit of what they have and I say we should be celebrating that. Not punishing it. It should be reason for people to notice and say, "hey, if they can do it, so can I." The Democrats really play into the class envy. They try and tell you that everyone who has that kind of money is bad. They are not necessarily bad. They just worked very hard at what they did and were ahead of the competition. Plain and simple. This country has gotten to the point that people think that the government should guarantee success of every individual. This is not the case. The Constitution says that the government should "promote the general welfare". This means that every one should have the same opportunity for success, if they earn it. It does not mean that everyone is guaranteed the same results.
Last thing, Obama issued his first bill signing statement when he signed the Omnibus bill. He said that just because he is signing it does not mean that he is obligated to carry out every part of the bill if he finds any part of it un-constitutional. Two things on this. First, President Bush used to get hammered every time he uttered these words. I bet you won't hear anything about Obama saying it. Second, and final thought, since when is this man have any idea what is Constitutional and what is not?

- His administration has already met with the murderous Assad Regime from Syria.
- Obama signed legislation to close Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility.
- Obama freed a dirty bomber from Guantanamo Bay to Great Britian.
- Obama and Biden told US soldiers and marines in Afghanistan, "WE'RE LOSING."
- Biden told US soldiers and marines that US deaths will rise in Afghanistan.
- Obama has already discussed holding peace talks with the Taliban.
- The stock market had it's worst January in 113 years.
- The stock market had it's worst February since 1933.
- The Dow has dropped faster under Obama than any other new president in 90 years.
- Obama's budget more than doubles the national debt held by the public, and adds more to the debt than all previous presidents -- from George Washington to George W. Bush -- combined.
- Obama has managed to spend more money than we have on the entire War on Terror.
- Obama will quadruple the deficit this year.
- Cap & Trade that has been introduced will cost America 4 million jobs as well as cause every American family at least $700 per year, and he ADMITS IT!
- Obama's team has announced easing restrictions in trade with communist Cuba.
- Meanwhile, democrats further restricted free trade with ally Columbia.
- Obama signed legislation to fund foriegn abortions.
- Obama signed legisltation to fund embryonic stem cell research.
- Democrats already banned offshore drilling.
- Democrats scrapped oil and natural gas leases in Utah for energy development.
- Obama's party permanently banned drilling in ANWR.
All of this and they are already talking about ANOTHER STIMULUS BILL! That's right. In case you haven't heard, economists from BOTH sides of the aisle are saying that there will be another stimulus bill and that it will probably come sooner than everyone thinks. These people have the audacity to blame Bush for spending money in Iraq when he has spent more money than Bush spent in BOTH fronts of the war.
This man is making friends with our enemies and making enemies of our allies. This seems an awful lot like lending aid and comfort to the enemy. A most horrendous act of treason. The only reason I will ever listen to this man is so that I can get more information to post here so that I can help to inform as many people as possible so that we don't make this grevious mistake again.
Now, let's look at something that truly makes no sense what-so-ever. A recent poll says that 56% of Americans approve of the King Liberals policies. However, 53% of Americans believe that we are heading into a depression much like the 1930's. Now, how can 56% of us approve of the King Libera's policies when 53% believe that we are heading into a depression? It makes no sense. It is his policy of tax and spend that has helped to drive this economy further down. Not only that, where is the 'HOPE' that he promised the American people? If over half of the Americans believe we are heading into a depression, then there is very little HOPE.
Oh yes, and before I forget again. There is one more thing that upsets me (see the last post).

"Any woman or person of color in the Republican party suffers from Stockholm Syndrome."
This woman said this on Kieth Olberman's show. I listened to a clip of it and had to listen to it again just to make sure I heard her right. She was talking about Sarah Palin. Where does she get off? I used to like Jeneane Garofalo as an actress. I never liked too much of her comedy, but, now, I truly have no use for her. What makes her such an expert on political issues anyway?
And don't even get me started on Kieth Olberman. This is the man who went from ESPN to work as a political talk show host. What kind of sense does that make? Granted, I never really liked him as a sports analyst, but, he says such stupid things now, I just don't know how he can even have a job.
I know it has been a little over 50 days ago, but, did anyone else notice that when the King Liberal was sworn in, the Constitution was never mentioned? I am still trying to find past inaugurations so that I can compare the Oath of Office. Everyone else who has been sworn in under this administration said the words "to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States." It is in the oath of enlistment for the armed services. Why can't the Commander In Chief say those words. I still think it is because this man has the vision to remake this country. He has no regard for the fact that he is working for us. He is on his own agenda and the things he is trying to do have nothing to do with the Constitution. Plus, it seems, that even Democrats are starting to jump off the band wagon.
Even Whoopi Goldberg has started to question why she has to pay more taxes. According to Joe Biden, it's patriotic to pay more taxes.
Now, if you have been paying attention, you will notice that the King Liberal NEVER speaks without teleprompters. Everything that he is saying is calculated, by someone else. Nothing he says is from himself. So, you have to ask the question, "who is actually running this government?" Even when he signed the order to close Guantanamo Bay, he had to ask his counsel what they were going to do with the prisoners. And now, he gives the Prime Minister from Great Britain a DVD set that can't even be played in the UK? Let's not even mention the fact that every single time he opens his mouth the DOW takes another plunge. He even says that he doesn't pay any attention to the daily fluctuations of the market. Well, I have news for you, King Liberal, it isn't fluctuating, it's going down!!
And how about the personal attacks on Rush Limbaugh? Why in the world would the President of the United States go out of his way to attack a private citizen? It is our right to say what we believe even if we disagree with what the administration is doing. They are trying to take our minds off of the fact that the economy is going through a rough patch. They don't mention the recession of the '80's, because we got out of that recession by cutting taxes. That was the worst decline in the market. That was the worst recession this country has been through. NOT the GREAT DEPRESSION. During the recession in the '80's the market plunged over 20%, the Great Depression was only about 16%.
Obama wants us to believe that he has the best interests of this country at heart. Nothing could be further from the truth. He has surrounded himself with Marxist, racist, and socialist people. This is what he has in mind for this country. Not, what the Founding Fathers crafted to guide this country. It has stood the test of time. It can still work. All we have to do is actually follow the guidelines that they put forth.
So, the question still remains, "why didn't he swear to uphold and defend the Constitution?"

I heard something this morning that just really stuck in my craw. It was about that big spending bill that the Democrats (and three Republican Senators) are calling "stimulus". It seems that there is a provision in the bill that would do away with the voucher system. In case you don't know, the voucher system allows parents (who would not otherwise be able to afford it) to send their children to schools that are outside their school district or even to private schools. Now, what I heard this morning was that it is affecting the King Liberal's children. It seems that there are some children in their classes that are at that private school because of the voucher system.
A spokesperson for the White House yesterday said that Washington, D.C. was a special case. Basically, telling the rest of us, that those people who happen to live in Washington, D.C. are deserve better than the rest of us.
There is also a piece of legislation that will allow Washington, D.C. to have a seat in the Senate. Now, forgive me for a moment, but, the Founding Fathers of this country purposely set aside the District of Columbia as a non-state because it was supposed to be neutral from the states. Sort of like our own little Switzerland. This administration and Congress seem hell bent on defying the very foundation upon which this country was formed.
Now, here is what I propose (I will admit, that I heard this elsewhere, but, upon further research, have decided that this is actually a very good idea). What we need is to form a Constitutional Convention of the States. This Convention should have three things on its agenda.
1) We need to repeal the 17th Amendment to the Constitution. This amendment provides for the US Senators to be elected by popular vote. This was not the intention of the Constitution. The main body of the Constitution says that Senators are elected by the State Legislatures, and, if there is a vacancy (i.e. resignation, death, etc.) the replacement is elected by the State Legislature. The whole problem with the Illinois Senate seat vacated by the King Liberal would have been avoided because the Governor would not have had to make the choice, unless the Legislature was on recess, and then it would have only been temporary. What the Senate was meant for was to be a representation of the State Governments, not the people directly.
2) We need to repeal the 16th Amendment. This is the amendment that put the IRS in business. It allows the federal government to levy taxes on income, regardless of the source. There is even some people who agree that it was never ratified properly, but, putting that aside, we need to get rid of it. The current tax rules make up over 67,000 pages of text. No wonder no one understands it. This alone will cause so much stimulation to our economy that there would be no stopping it. The United States would be the most favorable place to due business so businesses from other countries would be banging down our doors to get in. People would be able to keep all of the money they work hard to earn. They would be able to invest without being afraid of being in a higher tax bracket. People would be able to save and send their children to whatever schools they decide.
3) The last thing that would need to be addressed is setting term limits on members of the House of Representatives. This would allow us to avoid career politicians who have no real contact with their constituents from staying in Washington and passing laws that the people don't want. It would make them have to get out and find out what we really want.
Now, no amendment to the Constitution has ever been passed this way. It has always come from the Legislative Branch of the Federal Government. But, it is written into the Constitution, so, it is a very viable option. None of these things will ever get through the legislature, so, we will need to do this on our own. We need to contact our State Representatives to do this. We need 38 states to say yes to these three things. That's all. Then it would be done and the yahoos who sit in their comfy seats in Washington would have nothing to say about it. It is time to take back OUR government. Stop letting them slowly take away our freedoms.
If this government is allowed to continue down the road they are traveling, we will lose everything that has made this country great. We will no longer be able to enjoy the freedoms that we take for granted. All of the sacrifice of the brave men and women who gave their lives and sacrificed to defend this country would go right on down the toilet.

Now, I need to put a disclaimer before I actually start this post. As most of you who read this know, I am active duty military. EVERYTHING I post on this blog is MY opinion formed from watching the news, listening to what is going on and reading. NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING, I post has anything to do with the views of the military.
Now that that is out of the way. I was actually working on a post of a different flavor, however, Rush Limbaugh addressed CPAC this weekend. He was given 20 minutes, however, he took an hour and 20 minutes. It was televised on Fox News. I am posting the entire speech. It is in ten sections on YouTube. The text of the speech can be found here. I hope that you can listen to the entire thing (or at least read it).
This man, no matter what people think of him, put into words the very ideals that I have spent the vast majority of my adult life defending. The very ideals that so many men and women have died defending around the world. People think he's arrogant because he says things like "With talent on loan from God." However, if you truly listen to him, he is humble about abilities. He is right most of the time, but that's because of his research. This is all the man does. He is truly living the American Dream and loves this country with more passion than most any politician that I have seen in the past couple of years. He genuinely cares about where this country is headed.
The ideals he is portraying here, are the very things that I believe about this country. That EVERYONE has the opportunity to do well. It's up to them. NOT THE GOVERNMENT! No matter where you come from, no matter what the barriers, it is up to the INDIVIDUAL to pursue his/her dreams.
This is what I believe. This is what I have spent the past 20yrs defending. This is what I will write and talk about until the day they put me in the grave.
Watch out for terms like "local programming", and "diversity in ownership" because these are the very things that the Democrats are going to try and shove down our throats next. These terms are just another way to get the Fairness Doctrine (although they are not using that term anymore) reinstated so that they can control the programming on radio stations. This is how they are going to try and keep us from hearing people like Rush, Sean Hannity, and countless other conservative talk show hosts who are syndicated and heard all over the country.
Thank you Rush, for putting into words, so eloquently I might add, the very things that I have been trying to say on this blog.
