I got the following video from LiveLeak via Ms.Underestimated. It is amazing to me that what Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson says is what conservative talk show hosts were saying all last year. This is the reason that they were making a big deal out of what Rev. Wright was saying in the pulpit.

As was said last year, you can't believe that the king liberal could sit in the pews of Rev. Wright's church and not believe the filth that he was preaching. This is the man that people voted to be our leader. I know that the regular media didn't give a whole lot of credit to the Rev. Wright's words. Shoot, even Obama himself said that he had never heard him say stuff like that. Everyone bought it. He said that he could no more disown Rev. Wright than he could disown his own grandmother. Then, two weeks later, when it became politically expedient, he did just what he said he couldn't do.

Oh yeah, and by the way, I have to say that it is about time that someone stood up to what the federal government is trying to do. It is great to see that Arizona is taking a proactive approach to this health care boondoggle.

This man got elected for three reasons. One, he was able to tell people what they wanted to hear. His true colors started to come out when Joe the Plumber asked him about taxes. Remember, He said that he wanted to share the wealth. Not his, mind you. But, everyone else's. Well, look at what he is doing now. The "stimulus" bill raised the limits for unemployment. He has taken a vested interest, in the name of the government, in over 500 companies. He is pushing for the power to tell every financial institution what they can and cannot pay their employees. He controls two of the "Big Three" Auto makers.

The second thing he did to get elected was to turn down public funds for his campaign. This was after he promised to take the funds. He spent so much money that he even had his own channel to blast his infomercial 24 hours a day. The man wasn't even able to keep a promise then. Nobody ever listened to what he said. He is doing exactly what he has said he was going to do. He would put on a very eloquent persona while in the public eye and then tell exactly what he thought behind closed doors. He even got careless about that once in a while. Remember when he said that he was going to pass the cap-and-trade bill even though it would necessarily cause everyone's utility bills to skyrocket. He even said that it would put some companies out of business. He doesn't care. He wants POWER.

The third reason that he got elected was the fact that the majority of the media was so enamoured with him that they refused to let the public know the whole truth. They only would report the good things. They did not, and do not, have faith in the general public to make the right choice when they vote. They are still not covering the outright illegal activities of ACORN. An organization the the king liberal has direct ties to. The "stimulus" has even given MILLIONS of dollars to ACORN and actually named them as people to work the census. These are not the people that should be in charge of drawing legislative district lines. They have been under investigation in several states for voter fraud.

It is time we take this country back. Back from the Statist Democrats that want the federal government to have all the power. Back from the people that think that hard work needs to be punished. Back from people who think that everyone has a right to be prosperous, no matter what they do. And, especially, back from the people who think that the Constitution is something that is constricting. That think that it "doesn't tell what the government must do." The Constitution was designed to limit government. To celebrate the individual and his/her abilities to do what they needed to do to pursue their dreams. We are not a bunch of people who can be led around mindlessly. We are a group of individuals that must be allowed to decide what is best for ourselves.

WE ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Concentration at Home

I know that a lot has been made of the happenings over in Iran over their elections. The current regime has even shot a few people who are protesting the election. And, now, Iran has finally admitted that there are some irregularities. Such as, more votes in over 50 cities than actual number of voters in those cities. The Internet and the news is chock full of videos and pictures of the mayhem that ensues over there.

But, here on the home front, there is a fight going on. A fight for us to keep our individual rights and freedoms. A fight against hypocrisy. A fight for the very way of life that many people have given their lives to defend.

Now, I know that the things that are going on in Iran are an all out assault on freedom, but, if we look away for too long, our freedoms will be gone as well.

Two years ago, the king liberal, who was then a senator, co-sponsored a bill that would require a president to give 30 days notice and a reason, in writing, to Congress to fire an Inspector General. Now, he has gone totally against this LAW to fire Gerald Walpin, the IG for the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). This company oversees and distributes billions of federal dollars to many charitable organizations. Mr. Walpin is being fired after investigating misuse of funds by an organization that Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson is involved in. Mr. Johnson happens to be a very staunch supporter of the king liberal himself. The reason that was given, only after Senators held to the law and demanded a reason, was that Mr. Walpin was "incoherent and appeared to be disoriented" during a meeting held back in May. I mean, heck, Mr. Walpin was even asked to speak at a conference this week (he got uninvited after all this happened). The very same conference that Mrs. king liberal spoke at yesterday.
And, talk about coincidence.....Mrs. king liberals' ex-chief-of-staff, Jackie Norris, has been assigned as a "senior advisor" at CNCS. Now tell me she had nothing to do with firing Mr. Walpin.
Add to this the fact that the Democrats are trying to shove so much debt down our throats that we will have no choice except to be a socialist country, and this country is in more trouble than anyone could have thought. I mean, the so called "stimulus" bill that was passed in January even punished some of the people that were on food stamps because it raised the amount of welfare that they received, therefore, making them ineligible for food stamps. This is the kind of thing that happens when no one has a chance to read the legislation (as was promised) before they are forced to vote on it. Oh, yes, and don't forget about the 150,000 or so jobs that have actually been saved or created by this "stimulus". Unemployment has gone up by an average of approx. 500,000 per month since the passing of this bill, so, in reality, we are still in the negative by quite a bit.

Let's not forget about "Health Care Reform". This is just another way for these people to grab more power. The bill that was originally introduced, by the king liberal, was going to cost about $1TRILLION and only provide coverage for about 16 Million people. The estimate is that there are about 40 Million people without coverage. By the way, there is already a National Health Care program. It's called Medicare/Medicaid. The government has so mis-managed this program that it is predicted that it is going to run out of money during our lifetime. Are these the people we want telling us what kind of medical care we can get? I think not.

There are two states that are in grave danger of going bankrupt. California and New York. And, yet, the Speaker of the House is that lying, traitorous Nancy Pelosi, from California. And, Barbara Boxer, a Senator from California, thinks so highly of herself, that she actually attacked a General who was testifying for calling her "Ma'am" instead of Senator, a title that she thinks she has worked hard to earn. Now, on this point, I have to agree with Neal Boortz who went on a 10 minute tirade about who in that room actually "earned" their title. But, these are the people who are trying to tell us what we need to do as a country. They are from a state that is in financially in crisis and they want to make our federal government like their state government. What kind of sense does that make?

Remember when Joe Biden said that there was going to be a crisis to test the mettle of this guy (Obama)? Well, I think that between Iran and North Korea, we could be facing that crisis. However, it may also prove to be the perfect distraction the king liberal needs to get his Health Care agenda passed while we aren't looking. I don't mean to say that we shouldn't concern ourselves with the violence that is going on in Iran, or the very real threat that North Korea poses, but, we must be careful not to forget about the threat that our country faces domestically as well.

CARS & POLITICS

I guess I have been kind of waiting to see exactly how all of this was going to play out, but, silent I can no longer be.

You may ask yourself what cars and politics have in common. Well, up until the end of 2008 about the only thing that they had in common was that politicians sure like to regulate what the average gas mileage a line of cars was. But, then everything changed. Now, they are so intertwined that you can't tell where one ends and the other begins.

I was reading over at the Gateway Pundit about the closing of Chrysler dealerships. It seems that any dealership that gave money to the GOP was in danger. If you examine the 789 dealerships that were closed, they gave money to the GOP over the Democratic Party at a ratio of 42-1 (for every dollar given to the Democratic Party, $42 was given to the GOP). Now, I am actually hearing on CNN Headline News that Congressional hearings are being held about the closing of these dealerships.

Another thing that directly ties these two things together is the fact that in bankruptcy proceedings, without regard to the actual bankruptcy laws, the United Auto Workers (UAW) Union is actually gaining ownership in Government Motors and Chrysler/Fiat. Now, I must ask, "Why in the world should one of the biggest contributors to the problems that these two companies are facing should actually gain from this?" The answer is actually quite simple. The UAW has been one of the biggest contributors to the Democratic Party and to the king liberal himself. It is a reward for their loyalty.

I know I have included a letter from Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) before, but, one I just received puts all of this into perspective.

Dear Friend,

The bankruptcy filing of General Motors last week didn’t have to be this way.

GM could have – and as many of us argued at the time, should have – declared bankruptcy last December. Our bankruptcy laws exist to give troubled companies a chance to restructure their business models and get out from under crushing debts.

But now, after we lost $50 billion in a misguided bailout scheme, the bankruptcy GM is entering is not even real bankruptcy. It’s a political bankruptcy, brokered by the Obama administration to reward the very people who helped to destroy the company in the first place.

Under the agreement, investors and creditors were wiped out, while the federal government, the Canadian government, and the labor bosses will own 90 percent of the new company.

Going forward, GM won’t be able to make the tough business decisions necessary to get back to profitability. They will be second-guessed and overruled by politicians in Washington. Meanwhile, as GM becomes a government program, car companies that are succeeding will have to compete at an unfair disadvantage – all because the labor bosses funneled millions of dollars to Democrat candidates over the last few election cycles.

It isn’t fair, and it needs to stop.

Broken companies and greedy labor bosses shouldn’t be rewarded for their failures. Washington needs to get out of this quagmire before politicians do to our auto industry what they’ve already done to our financial system.

A free auto market will help revive our industrial economy, and give GM its best chance to succeed.

As always, freedom will work…if we let it.

Sincerely,
Jim DeMint

United States Senator

(I have to say something here, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is actually the Senator from the district in which I vote, but, I get more information out of Sen. DeMint's office than I do from his, so, I do use Sen. DeMint more often.)

I for one, am of the belief that these two companies should have filed for bankruptcy if they were in trouble to begin with. Just as the financial companies should have. That's the beauty of capitalism. If a company is managed poorly, it fails. The bankruptcy system allows these companies to restructure and try to recover. Airlines have done it in the past. Some have survived. Some have perished. Either way, the unions have had to make concessions so that the companies can survive.

The UAW has made no discernible concessions. They say that their people get paid an average of $28 per hour while Toyota and other foreign companies building cars in the United States pay their employees an average of $30 per hour. This is true. However, the one thing they don't want you to know is this: the foreign companies do not have to deal with the UAW. But, because of the UAW, the average cost of building one vehicle for GM, Chrysler, or Ford is up around $75 per hour. There are some people who actually make more money by not working than they ever did when they were actually producing something for the company, plus, the companies actually spend more money, per hour, on people who don't actually work for them anymore than they do on the production workers themselves. I don't know about you, but, this just seems totally backwards to me.

You combine this with the fact that the federal government loves telling the car companies what kinds of cars they need to make and it is no wonder that they are having financial problems.

A recent report showed that GM had 20 vehicles that actually made a profit. Now, when you consider that GM includes GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac, Hummer, and SAAB, 20 vehicles making a profit is not all that many. But, of those 20 vehicles, 11 of them are trucks and SUV's. These are the very vehicles that Democrats want to get rid of. They want the company to build vehicles that are "more environmentally friendly". In other words, they want the company to build cars that only a handful of people actually want to buy.

The king liberal has also stated that he had no desire to run these companies. However, actions speak louder than words. He has actually forced the GM CEO to resign. He has assigned a CAR CZAR. What in the world is that if it isn't someone in HIS administration to tell these companies what they can and cannot do?

What is happening in this country is EXACTLY what the founders and writers of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence didn't want to happen. However, the king liberal looks at the Constitution as a restriction. He feels that instead of telling what it's limits are, it should say what the government SHOULD do.

CARS and POLITICS. They shouldn't be synonymous, however, today, they are.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

If this looks, or sounds familiar, it is because it is the First Amendment to the Constitution. The very first of the Bill of Rights. Why did I start out with this? Read on.

It seems that among all of the other stuff going on, a story from San Diego County missed the national spotlight.

A pastor and his wife were required to get a permit to hold a Bible Study in their home.

It seems that on April 10 (Good Friday), a county code enforcement officer visited the home of David and Mary Jones after receiving a complaint about their Christian gatherings. The Jones' attorney, Dean Broyles, president of The Western Center for Law & Policy, conveyed in disbelief, "The county asked (Mrs. Jones), 'Do you have a regular meeting in your home?' She said, 'Yes.' 'Do you say "amen"?' 'Yes.' 'Do you pray?' 'Yes.' 'Do you say "praise the Lord"?' 'Yes.'"

The officer then warned the family to "cease and desist" the "religious gathering" or they would face weekly fines. A few days later, the county delivered a citation claiming that the Joneses were guilty of "unlawful use of land" and mandating them to "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit."

Now, this wasn't a huge group of people. It only averaged about 15 people. This is nothing more than an attack on our First Amendment rights. Both the right to freely exercise our choice of religion as well as our right to peaceably assemble (and the peaceable assembly part is intended for public places). Not to mention, that someone who had done NOTHING WRONG had their privacy invaded.

Now, our beloved king liberal has gone overseas and made a speech in Cairo that the White House says is designed to bridge the gap between the Muslim world and the United States. But, I believe that he is doing nothing but showing weakness. Just as he has done in World Policy since he took his oath of office. He has shown great resolve in turning our extremely strong republic into a very weak socialist country.

Just read for yourselves. I am only giving you the first six paragraphs of this article, but, the point is made very well. By the way, this article was in Pravda. That's right, the Russian newspaper.

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

Now, the saying goes if we can't learn from the mistakes of the past, we are destined to repeat them. We have been going down the path to socialism for quite a while. The introduction of "nationalized medicine" is just another cog in the wheel. A man in Parliament in Great Britain has even warned us to learn from them. He says they are about 10yrs ahead of us in regard to socialized medicine.

The king liberal even had a line in his speech today that went something like this, "a world organization that places a group of people above another group of people is destined to fail." Now, he has spent a great deal of time apologizing for our past. The very past that has made us the WORLD'S ONLY SUPER POWER. The very past that has rescued Europe from the tyranny of dictators more than once. The very past that has supported those whose sole desire is to have an inkling of the freedoms that we enjoy (and, for the most part, take for granted).

Have we made mistakes? Sure. But, honestly, WHAT IN THE WORLD DO WE HAVE TO APOLOGIZE FOR? We have worked hard and sacrificed a great deal to have the place we have in the world today. It wasn't because we were entitled to it. It was because we EARNED it.

The pastor and his wife were just the beginning. We have taken our freedoms for granted far too long. If this man has his way, we will all be the same. No matter how hard we work. Those who work hard to make something will be no better off than those who sit around on their lazy hind ends. The people who work hard will give up everything they have so that those who don't will have. We SHOULD have social envy. But, only in the regards that it should be a driving force for people to work hard to get the things they want. People who make money are not evil. They are not the enemy. They should be the example of what everyone can do if they put their mind to it.
