I saw the first video that I am posting today on Thursday. Glen Beck said that this man just came up to him. I am pretty sure he was in Harlem for the interview in the second video. Each video is a little over 3 minutes in length. The first man didn't vote for the king liberal. The second one did, but, is now asking himself why?
I know what I am about to say is nowhere near politically correct, but, at the end of the Civil War, did we just trade one form of slavery for another? Most of the politicians in Washington would just as soon keep the citizenry of the United States ignorant of the facts. They want to tell us what is best for us. This is the very same reason we fought for our independence from England. The more people they can make dependent on the Federal Government, the better. That means the more votes they get.
This is not the way things were supposed to be. The power was supposed to be with the local and state governments.
"WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, PROVIDE for the common defence, PROMOTE the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
The only thing that the Federal Government is supposed to PROVIDE is the defense of this great nation and all the citizens under the Constitution. It is not supposed to provide for the the general Welfare, it says to PROMOTE the general welfare. These mean two totally different things, and the people in Washington are telling us they are doing all the things they are doing to look out for the little people. THAT IS NOT THEIR JOB!!!!
The states are supposed to be the more powerful governments. They are supposed to have a say in how the Federal Government is run. This is why, before the 17th Ammendment, each State Legislature appointed two Senators. They were to represent the State at the Federal level. The House of Representatives is supposed to be the people's representatives.

I truly can't believe that I am letting all of this get to me, but, I put in 20 years of my life in defense of this country and its Constitution. I put in 20 years of my life so that people could live in peace and be able to say the things that are on their minds without worry. I put in 20 years of my life so that my generation and the generations that follow could know what it is like to live under a blanket of freedom. The freedom to choose what is best for us individually. Not have a bunch of people with an agenda to remain in power tell us how to live our lives and what is best for us. We need to do everything we can to take this government back. And we need to do it NOW!

I know that it has been almost three months since I posted anything. I absolutely apologize to everyone who checks in from time to time to read my opinions on things. But, between my retirement from the Navy, family visiting and getting started in my new career (yes, I actually was able to find a job in this economy and I thank God every single day for that), it has just been absolutely hectic in my life. But, don't worry too much, I have been paying attention to what is going on in this crazy time we live in.
Before I get to my opinions, I want to say a thank you to everyone who prayed and are praying for me and my family as we have set out on this new adventure in life. You have no idea how much it means to us. The second thing I would like to do is to recognize the men and women I have served with. There are too many to list here, but, rest assured, I would not have had the successful career I had without them. And, lastly, my family. From seeing my dad so proud and full of emotion, that I actually saw him speechless, to my lovely wife and children who have had to put up with my emotional roller coaster (especially the past few months), the support they have provided me is priceless and means more to me than any of them will ever know, or I could ever tell them. Thank You all.
Now, on with business. I have been paying attention. I even watched CSPAN on the computer this past Saturday to watch that joke of process they like to call the legislative process as they voted on that monstrosity of a health care bill. It was a joke. I truly don't know how they ever get anything done. It amazes me, every time I venture to watch them, how the person with the gavel can claim that "a sufficient number having stood" when he NEVER even looks up from the podium.
In case you didn't know, here are a few highlights from the 1900 page document that not too many of them have even read.
- One of the many ways they are going to pay for this, is to repeal tax cuts for EVERYONE. In other words.....RAISE TAXES. The very thing that that king liberal promised wouldn't happen.
- Something I just found out. If you remember the idea that if you failed to buy health insurance then you would have to pay a fine when you filed your taxes, forget it. If you don't buy health insurance, YOU WILL GO TO JAIL!! Nancy Pelosi just got done saying that her bill was fair when asked about this.
- Right now, there is an amendment that would ban all federal funding of abortions. Some say that this is the same thing as saying that abortions are illegal. Are they kidding? Are they delusional? Since when does holding back federal funding make something illegal? Anyway, it really doesn't make a difference because they put it in there just to get the pro-life democrats to vote for it. They plan on removing it from the final bill.
That's enough. These alone make me mad enough. They say that they are worried about the people who can't afford health care. Then, they need to do something about the cost of liability insurance the doctors need to pay to cover them for malpractice. I am not saying that doctors are perfect and that none of them should ever get sued (there are bad apples in every bunch), but, the threat of malpractice suits means that the doctors have to have so much malpractice insurance that that is the major cost that they have to cover when they charge us so much. It is well over the cost of a procedure.
As far as going to jail for not having health insurance, this bill will still not cover about 65 million people. Some of these people will still not be able to afford health insurance. Are they going to throw 65 million people in jail? How fair is that Nancy?
I am not even going to go into the abortion debacle.
One of the democrats biggest attack on those of us who are apposed to their health care bureaucracy is that the Republicans haven't come up with anything. Well, they had a bill that would have nullified the democrat's monstrosity. I didn't totally agree with that one either, but, it was MUCH better than the alternative. And, it wouldn't have cost $1Trillion either. They also want to blame Republicans for their having such a difficult time in passing some of the things that the far left wants to force down our throats. Well, just in case you haven't been paying attention, they don't need any of the Republicans and they know it. They don't consult with the Republicans on anything. Sure, the Senate will throw an occasional bone to the likes of Olympia Snowe and Lindsey Graham for some added insurance, but, truly, they don't need them. There are enough Democrats in both houses to do whatever they want. They are starting to have problems convincing people within their own party.
By the way, we all need to watch out for this trick in the Senate. Watch for the Senator that will vote for cloture on a bill and then not vote for the bill. See, many people believe that the Senate needs 60 votes to pass a bill. This is not the case. They need 60 votes to stop debate on the bill. This is called cloture and it is how they get around the filibuster. Once this happens they only need a simple majority. So, be careful of Senators saying that they didn't vote for something, yet they helped pave the way for it to pass.
Please, make sure that your representatives know how you feel, and remind them that they work for us.

Watch this video and then ask yourself this one question.....If the liberal Air America can see the lies that are being told, why doesn't the regular media see it?
This explains why the Administration is in full campaign mode. They want you to buy into the lies, just like the majority of voters did in November. The king liberal will say anything that he thinks you want to hear. He did the same thing during the election. He said anything he had to say to get elected. He offered "Hope and Change." Well, when he started surrounding himself with people to form his administration, he basically said that it would be stupid for someone with his lack of experience to not use people from the last Democratic administration. A lot of these people have been in Washington for years and know how to make things work to their advantage. Not a lot of change. He promised that bills would be available to the public to read and that every lawmaker would have at least 48 hours to read the bill before they voted on it. Then, he proceeded to set deadlines on Congress that totally invalidated this promise. He promised that his "stimulus" bill would keep unemployment below 8%. Now, it is pushing 10% with at least 15 states over 10%. This man said that he is a new comer that would not allow politics as usual. However, he has shown that he is very savvy in how to get his way in Washington and he has done NOTHING to change how things work in Washington.
He believes that the Constitution is restrictive to the government. Well, guess what......IT WAS DESIGNED THAT WAY!!
It appears that the public is finally starting to wake up from the fantasy that Obama and the Democrats have tried to sell this country. They are starting to make their voices truly heard. The American people are forcing the Democrats to show their true colors. The fact that they don't think any more of the American people than to call them an angry mob that are brandishing swastikas says a ton as to what they think of us. They want to RULE us, not govern us.
We need to keep the pressure on. Keep letting our representatives know what we think and want. That is the only way we are going to stop the Democrats from taking over our lives and telling us how we need to live.

I have been reading a lot of articles lately that have attacked anyone who has the gumption to speak out against the health care reform bill that is in the House of Representatives as either ignorant or racist (or both). So, I guess that makes me both.
This is the typical type of attack that the liberals like to throw down. They vilify anyone who will speak out against their agenda. What ever happened to free speech? What ever happened to the fact that it is our responsibility to question this or any other administration as then Senator Hillary Clinton said in 2003. I guess that only applies to Democrats questioning and protesting a Republican Administration.
As far as ignorant.........I feel that anyone who will blindly follow what they hear and read without confirming things for themselves does so out of ignorance. Therefore, they are ignorant. The king liberal has done everything that he said he would do. Even since before he was a Senator. People just weren't listening. He speaks and people fawn over him. They don't actually listen to what he says. He contradicts himself, most of the time in the same speech. Shoot, we can't even call the House health care bill his idea. He admitted, early in his campaigning for it, that he hadn't even read it. If he hasn't read it, how can he speak intelligibly about it? I call that ignorant. One of the senior Democrats in the House of Representatives even admitted that there is no way he can read all of these bills. He said that it would take two days read it and two lawyers to explain it to him. If you don't have time to read and understand the bill and all of the ramifications, you shouldn't support it and then go out and try to sell it to the American people. I call that ignorant.
I have read the majority of this bill, and as far as I can tell, it is a piece of crap that is designed to expand government into controlling our health care. Designed to infringe on our right to choose our health insurance (or even to have health insurance at all), our right to choose our doctors, and even, with the consult of our doctor the type of care we get. It is designed to move us away from private insurance to a single payer system, the federal government. Just like the king liberal had said at least twice while he was running for the office he currently holds. See, we didn't see him say those things because the media never showed them to us. He said it twice while speaking to union groups. The very people that he helped take over two of the three automakers in the United States. He never said it in his big televised speeches, because he knew that if the "common folk" knew that that is how he felt, he would never get elected. This is no dumb man. The problem is, he thinks that We the People are a bunch of ignorant people who will believe anything he says. Well, the people are actually getting out there and letting him know that we don't believe him anymore.
I have one question. If this HR3200 is such a good bill for reforming the NUMBER ONE health care system in the world, then why do the Democrats have to be so hard on the campaign trail and attack anyone who dares to question it? If it were that good of a bill, they would not have to campaign for it. It would speak for itself.
So, since I am totally, 100% opposed to HR3200, then, I guess I am an ignorant racist. I will accept this totally unfounded label and wear it proudly (even though I have read the bill).

I have started to write this post several times over the past week. It just seems like there is always something to get in the way. Anyway, I am going to start out with a quote from an ordinary citizen. She is a mother of two and lives in Pennsylvania. This is what she said to Sen. Arlen Spectre, the turncoat who changes his party affiliation whenever it seems to fit his political aspirations.
"I don’t believe this is just about health care. It’s not about TARP. It’s not about left and right. This is about the systematic dismantling of this country."
This is exactly what needs to be echoed throughout this country RIGHT NOW!! These people in Washington have long gone away from being representatives of the people. They are full fledged in representing their own, self absorbed political agenda. They have no interest in doing what the people want. All they care about is expanding the power of the government so that it intrudes on our very lives. They want to be able to tell us what we can and cannot do. The people in Washington are attacking the very Constitution upon which this country was founded. You already know that the Health Care Reform Bill that is in the House right now, will take away our freedom of choice when it comes to our healthcare. Here are just a couple of more examples of how the Constitution is coming under attack.
I received a phone call this past weekend from the NRA. Now, I will admit, that it was partially a solicitation for membership. I would gladly join, if I could. They mentioned something that brought a chill down my spine, right to the bone. The lady said that there is a treaty, proposed by Mexico, before the UN that would ban the private ownership of guns. That's right, if the United States were to sign this treaty, it would violate the Second Amendment to our Constitution, our right to bear arms. And, to top it off, right now, we have one of the most anti-gun people in the country as our Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. So, this is not just some idle thing that we know would never be signed. It is something that is REAL and a THREAT to the Constitution itself.
The second thing that I have for you is the fact that people in the White House are trying to silence Glen Beck for things that he has said on his program. That's right. Van Jones, the self-proclaimed communist and the Czar for Green Jobs (what the heck is that anyway?), is the co-founder of a left-wing political group called Color of Change. This group exists "to strengthen Black America's political voice. Our goal is to empower our members—Black Americans and our allies—to make government more responsive to the concerns of Black Americans and to bring about positive political and social change for everyone." This group has actually contacted companies who advertise on Glen Beck's television program and threatened to boycott their products if they did not pull their advertisements from the program. There are several stories I have read about this and am linking to them (just click on the names of the websites). The first is on Human Events. The second is at RedState. And, finally, the third is at the Capital Research Center. This is a clear attack on the very backbone of what everyone in the United States looks to when they talk about their freedoms. THE very basic freedom of Freedom of Speech. The First of the Amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America.
The king liberal himself, when he was interviewed early in his political career, even said himself that he believes that the Constitution is too restrictive to the Federal Government. DUH!!! YOU IDIOT!! It's supposed to be. He says that the Constitution lays out what the government can't do, but, doesn't tell the government what it MUST do. I will tell you what you MUST do, get the hell out of our way and let the people decide what they must do for themselves. Let the country return to the way things have worked in this country. The government was never intended to do things for us. It was designed to be a means by which our states could come together and provide for our common defense and PROMOTE (NOT PROVIDE FOR) the general welfare.
Too many people in this country have forgotten what it is like to work for something. The satisfaction one gets from knowing that the accomplishments you achieve are from the work that you put into the endeavor. That things are not handed to you. You have to work for them. The government's only job as far as this goes is to get our of our way.
The king liberal, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and all of the other Democrats that seem to be getting the media's ear, have now turned to vilifying normal, everyday people who are concerned about their future, showing up at the town-hall meetings, calling them angry mobs who are brandishing swastikas and such. They are all paid hacks sent to represent the EVIL insurance companies. However, it was only after the king liberal himself, told the SEIU and ACORN to help him out with these townhall meetings that things have turned violent.
Oh yes, I just heard, again, something that I truly think is hilarious. The king liberal keeps saying that a public option in health care would not cause private insurance companies to go out of business. The fact that he is truly lying about this is not what I find funny. It's the example he uses.....He says that FedEx and UPS run very healthy businesses, it's the Post Office that has all of the problems. Now, he is using the fact that the Post Office has issues to explain away the fact that a private option won't necessarily mean the end of private insurance, while at the same time giving a very valid example of why the American people do not want the government running our healthcare. The government can't run the health care programs they have now, the Post Office or Social Security without them going bankrupt. Shoot, privately run government entities such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac can't even keep themselves out of trouble.
It is time to tell these people in Washington we are sick of the job they are doing and they WILL pay for what they are doing by losing their jobs at the next election if they don't STOP!!
P.S. I do have to apologize for a word I typed while writing this. I usually don't use words like that, however, I am growing more and more frustrated with the direction that this country is going and could not think of any other word that would truly convey that frustration.

Alright, as promised, I am going to weigh in on this Health Care issue. I had actually intended to write this a few days ago, however, some things came up and I wasn't able to get to a place to truly do this justice, so, here it goes.
I am happy about two things with the monstrosity that the king liberal is trying to pass off as Health Care Reform. The first is the fact that it didn't get the chance to be rammed through Congress. There was enough opposition from BOTH sides to stop it. The second thing is the fact that America is starting to truly speak out. It isn't just behind the scenes and in polls anymore. There are people showing up at the town hall meetings all across the country and telling the politicians how they truly feel about the health care issue. Not only that, they are starting to get under the skin of the liberals.
Nancy Pelosi has even gone as far as saying that people are showing up brandishing swastikas. Several other Democrats have accused these American citizens of being part of an organized effort led by anybody from Rush Limbaugh to the insurance companies. They just can't stand the idea that people have actually read this thing and are not going to just roll over and let them take over. As a matter of fact, one person that has been said to be one of the leaders has been identified as someone who actually has a facebook page with something like 15 friends and a twitter page with about 5 followers. And, the king liberal himself has even said that they need to hit back twice as hard. I wonder if he intended the violence that happened in Tampa Bay when he said that. It seems that a Democratic official actually slapped someone at a town hall meeting.
So, what is everyone getting all worked up over? No matter what the king liberal and all of his cronies tell us, if this bill gets signed into law, we will have to be on a government approved health plan withing 5 yrs. This, of course, means that we will NOT get to keep our current health insurance like Obama says. Also, this bill provides for you to get counseling about your "end-of-life" care. There are also many cuts to Medicare. You combine all of this together, and you get a government take over of the health care system. The same government that can't seem to run anything. Medicare/Medicaid is going bankrupt. Social Security is going bankrupt. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are over run with corruption. Even that monstrosity of a "stimulus" bill that was passed back in January (or February, I forget, it has kind of all run together) is over run with mismanagement. Just ask Joe Biden. He actually said so. If they get this bill passed, they will have succeeded in taking away our choice in health insurance, choice of doctors, and even, our choices of care should we be unfortunate enough to be terminal.
The Administration that said they were going to be the most transparent in history, is anything but. Congress, in conjunction with the White House has promised that no bill will be voted on until 48 hours after it was introduced in its entirety to give every lawmaker a chance to read it. And then, it was supposed to be published for the public to read before it was voted on. They have definitely not lived up to that. They are rushing bills through at such an alarming rate that it is truly hard to keep up with everything they are doing.
Speaking of which, the White House has actually put out that they are taking information on people who dare to speak out against the Health Care Reform Bill. They say that there are people who are spreading lies about this bill. Well, after reading the bill, I can truly say that the only people who are spreading lies about it are the very people who want to shove it down our throats. So, if you read this, and you truly want to tell the White House that I am 100% totally against it, you can e-mail them at email@example.com. I guess, the actual terms they use is that if you get an e-mail or see something that is fishy, they want you to e-mail them.
So, to summarize, my take on this whole health care bill (that the king liberal has even admitted to not reading) is that it is nothing but another way for the Democrats to try and make us more dependent on government to take care of the very things that we should be taking care of ourselves. This will allow them to do what ever they want and tell us what we can and can not do. This is not Freedom. This is not what our forefathers intended when they founded this country. This is not what many, many men and women have died defending. They even want us to start telling them when people disagree with them. Even Hillary Clinton said, in 2003, that we have an right and obligation to question an administration when we don't agree with it.
In the immortal words of the Great President Ronald Reagan, "Freedom is never more than a generation away from being extinct." Now is our time to fight for what we believe in. Let your Representatives and Senators know what you think about this bill.

Alright, I have been pretty quiet lately. Mainly because I have just been getting madder and madder at what is going on up in Washington, D.C. But, after seeing everything that is going on, I can not stay silent any longer.
I had actually planned on blogging about health care, but, I will save that one for another day while I finish getting all my thoughts together on that subject.
Meanwhile, I found this video over at MsUnderestimated. I did a little research and found most of the same stuff that Glenn Beck and Phil Kerpen are talking about. I encourage you to watch the video, but, I will break it down.
The Apollo Alliance is an organization whose goals, as found at Wikipedia seem to be well intentioned. However, the whole basis for the foundation of the Apollo Alliance is pure evil. They are looking to take over the entire economic structure of this country. It is purely a left wing, socialist organization. Van Jones, who just so happens to be the GREEN Jobs Czar for the king liberal, is a self proclaimed COMMUNIST. He also happens to be on the steering committee for the Apollo Alliance.
This organization is designed to combine the Labor movement (unions) with the Green Movement and Social Justice. I will have to admit, that one of the very reasons why some of these organizations aren't already in charge of things is because there are so many and the special interests of each individual group is limiting. However, the Apollo Alliance is designed to bring them all together for one common goal under one umbrella. Can you imagine if the likes of ACORN, the SEIU and Greenpeace all are on the same agenda? We are in a world of hurt.
Why is all of this important to you and me? Well, many people have been talking alot about how our very Constitution is under attack. How our very freedom and liberty is under attack. This is how they are doing it. Neal Boortz has said many times that the environmental movement was something that really gained power after we flushed out all of the communists in this country and left them little hope of really ever having any power. They all turned into environmentalists. This is the vehicle that they are using to get us to do what THEY think is right. This Apollo Alliance is living proof. They helped write that $800BILLION stimulus bill that never had a prayer's of a chance to stimulate anything other than the government and all of their selfish political agendas of gaining more power over you and me.
This is what we are up against. A leader who appoints tax cheats, proven unethical people, and even communists to help make policy about our lives. On top of that, we have other elected officials who really are proving that they don't care one iota about us or what we think. They are going to continue down the road and tell us that they have our best interests in mind, when all they want is to stay in power.
We need to take back this country. We need to get back on the track where people who work hard are rewarded and those who don't will soon learn that they need to. We also need to get the government OUT OF OUR EVERYDAY LIVES and return back to a time when the elected truly do work for the governed.

While, it seems, that we have dodged a bomb, at least temporarily, in the health care reform bills that are being debated in both the House and the Senate, I feel compelled to take a break from politics for just one brief moment. I will resume regular posts again after this.
Every once in a while, someone does something that is truly incredible. In this case, it is something that has only happened 18 times before. Along with politics, which is really something that I have (admittedly) just recently truly followed with a passion, I do follow sports. Last night, the Chicago White Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-0. Now, this in and of itself isn't that remarkable. What is remarkable is the fact that the Rays only had 27 at bats during the game. That's right, Mark Buehrle pitched a PERFECT GAME.
If you have seen the movie For Love of the Game, with Kevin Costner, you get a glimpse of how remarkable this is. And, how, when something like this is in the works, the other players around him truly step up their game to make it happen. It happened in real life in the ninth inning. Kaplar, of the Rays, hit a ball that should have been a home run and would have spoiled the whole thing, HOWEVER, Dwayne Wise, who had been put into center field because of his defensive skills made a truly outstanding catch (you can watch the clip here). Buehrle went on to strike out the next player and get the last one to ground out.
To give you an idea of how monumental this is, Nolan Ryan, who holds the records for the most strikeouts and no hitters, NEVER pitched a perfect game. It has only been done 18 times in Major League Baseball. Only 16 times since 1900. And, only ONE time in the World Series. The last person to pitch a perfect game was Randy Johnson, with the Arizona Diamondbacks, on May 18, 2004.
So, I take this break from politics to tip my hat and congratulate Mark Buehrle of the Chicago White Sox, and the entire White Sox team, on this truly monumental achievement.

In 2008, Barrack Obama promised that he would give us change. He promised that there would be transparency in government. He promised that no bill would be voted on until it was published for the public to read for at least 48 hours.
How is all of that working for you? It doesn't for me. At all.
The stimulus bill passed without any problems and barely anybody actually read the thing. Including those in Congress. The king liberal promised that this bill would save or create jobs. Well, it has, in Washington, D.C. Their unemployment rate is 6.2% while there are 15 states with unemployment over 10%. Michigan is over 15%. The only states that have lower unemployment rates than Washington, D.C. are North and South Dakota and Nebraska. That bill was nothing more than a whole bunch of pork. Pet projects for Democrats. Nancy Pelosi even got billions of dollars for the habitat of some rat in her district. Remember, Obama said that unemployment would not go over 8%, it is now at 9.6%, and he now says it will go over 10%.
And don't forget TARP. That pushed $750Billion out of the coffers and into banks. With this money, came the gateway for the government to take over the banks. A handful have been able to pay the money they were forced to take back to the government. However, there are literally hundreds that want to pay the money back but the government won't let them. They have instead, turned the prime option stocks that they had into common stock. This means that the government is a voting stockholder in the company. And, the government owns as much as 71% of the stocks in some of these companies. No wonder they can tell the banks how much money they can pay their employees. We can actually thank the Bush Administration for this (just so that people don't think that I am only blaming one man).
Then, there was that Omni-bus bill. It raised our deficit to over $1Trillion. The first time we have ever reached that mark.
Now, we have two bills that will wreak havoc on the economy and our freedom. The first is that massive Cap-and-Trade bill that passed the House about a week and a half ago. It is a 1500 page bill that was voted on less than 12 hours after 300 pages were added to it. The extra pages were added at 3a.m. And, as a matter of fact, this bill barely passed the House. The vote was 219-212. 44 Democrats voted against it and 8 Republicans voted for it. If even four of the Republicans had voted against it, the bill wouldn't have passed. And, one of the Republicans has had over $93,000 donated to him from a company that will benefit from this bill. He threw the people of his district under the bus. Remember, this is a bill that the king liberal himself "would necessarily cause utility bills to skyrocket." Again, they tax the companies, we pay the bill.
The second bill is health care reform. The king liberal promised that if you like your current health care plan, you can keep it. Well, here is what the NY Post has found out. Under either plan, one in the House and one in the Senate, a government bureaucracy will decide on approved plans. If your employer provides your health care, they would have a five year grace period to put you into one of the approved plans, otherwise pay a fine.
As soon as anything in your contract changes, i.e. co-pays or premiums, you'll have to move into a qualified plan (House Bill pg. 16-17).
When you file your taxes, if you can't prove to the IRS that you have health insurance, you will be fined thousands of dollars and then immediately enrolled in an approved plan (House Bill pg. 167-168).
Limits you to a managed-care plan even if your employer is footing the bill (Senate Bill pg. 57-58). The goal of this is to reduce everyone's consumption of health care and that everyone has the same health care experience regardless of their ability to pay (i.e. rationing health care and lowering the standards, even for the rich).
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that the cost of this will be somewhere between $1.04 and $1.6 TRILLION.

On top of all this, the White House has announced today that it's economic estimates that were due out today, will be delayed until the middle of August. After Congress goes into recess, when Obama wanted a health care reform bill on his desk. Kind of ironic to me. If you want to get something passed that is going to cost a bunch of money, you don't tell them that the economic outlook is bleak. Which is what the report would have to say.
NOTHING that this man has had pushed through the Congress has worked out. EVERYTHING that has come out of his mouth is a LIE!!!
Some good news, the king liberal's approval ratings are going down. It seems that America is finally waking up to the lies that he has been pushing on us. The transparency that he has promised is non-existent.

Before I start this particular post, I want to apologize for leaving the Independence Day message to the end of the last post. As I said in it, to me it was the most important message. However, everything else I put in the post are the very things that are threatening the independence that so many have fought to preserve.
Now, let me start with a quote.
"We all declare for liberty; but in using the same word we do not all mean the same thing. With some the word liberty may mean for each man to do as he pleases with himself, and the product of his labor; while with others, the same word may mean for some men to do as they please with other men, and the product of other men's labor. Here are two, not only different, but incompatible things, called by the same name ---liberty. And it follows that each of the things is, by the respective parties, called by two different and incompatible names---liberty and tyranny."

This quote is on the back of the book "Liberty and Tyranny" by Mark R. Levin. Reading the book, I know why. This man could have very well written the political agenda for the Democrat Party. He understands it that well. He is, however, conservative. I am not quite finished reading this book, but, I can tell you this, if you are at all concerned with the well being of this country then you should read this book.
Here is my take on everything that is going on.
I must first take a trip back in history to the Civil War. The northern states wanted to do away with slavery. The southern states did not. It was a vital part of running their plantations. Where the north became mostly industrial. The Civil War came down to this, the north wanted to stipulate that any new state in the Union had to be a free state. The south contended that it should be up to the states to choose. So, even though slavery was the underlying issue, the real issue at stake was the states' right to choose. Ironic how the Democrats (south) were on the right side of the main issue. They wanted to keep the majority of the power in the hands of the states. In the South, however, the power belonged to few people. The rest were dependent upon those that held the power to be prosperous.
Now, when the North won the War, and outright slavery became something of our past, the Democrats began to change the battle front. They saw this as an opportunity to use the Federal Government to expand their own power. This expansion has been very subtle over the course of the last 150 years.
Income tax is one way thing they use. Another is the fact that judges "set policy", to quote a certain nominee for the Supreme Court. They use the schools to advance their agenda. Professors teach the lawyers their political views. They in turn become judges who are not at all concerned with the rule of law, but rather what is fair. The view that a judge should be sympathetic with someone when they are determining law is ridiculous. It shouldn't be about what a persons background is, but, what the rule of law is. That is the only way that the laws are to remain fair. If they apply to everyone, no matter what their background or current situation is. The idea that a "Latina woman would make a better decision, because of her experiences, than a white male" is not only ludicrous, it is outright racist.
They followed the income tax with something called the "New Deal". This was Franklin Roosevelt's big plan to get out of the Great Depression. Economists that have studied this, have since determined that the New Deal, with all of it's government spending, prolonged the Depression by about seven (7) years. Social Security was born of this. Shoot, Roosevelt himself even admitted, "Those taxes were never a problem of economics. They are politics all the way through. We put those payroll taxes there so as to give the contributors a legal, moral, and political right to collect their pensions and their unemployment benefits. With those taxes in there, no damn politician can ever scrap my social security program." To me, this sounds like someone who is more concerned about their own political agenda than with the welfare of the people he was elected to serve. They sold Social Security as insurance, even though, there is no insurance model that even remotely resembles the Social Security plan.
Next, came the Great Society from Lyndon Johnson in 1965. He actually used the Social Security Act to establish Medicare and Medicaid. These two programs were designed for the elderly and the underprivileged who didn't have health insurance. Lyndon Johnson called it "the most important addition to the structure" that was started with the cornerstone of the Social Security Act laid by Roosevelt. He went on to explain, "Through this new law...every citizen will be able, in his productive years when he is earning, to insure himself against the ravages of illness in his old age. This insurance will help pay for care in hospitals, in skilled nursing homes, or in the home. And under a separate plan, it will help meet the fees of doctors." A noble enough cause, however, in doing so, and by not giving the American people the choice of participating, he, as Roosevelt before him, took a huge chunk out of the liberty that every American enjoyed.
Next, came Jimmy Carter. He did nothing more than to hand over the worst economy since the Great Depression to Ronald Regan. And, he did his damage in just four years. During his presidency, unemployment rose to double digits, and the tax brackets were through the roof. Regan came in and actually cut taxes. The result was an economic boom that lasted about 25 years. Yes, the stock market corrected itself in the late '80's, but, it is what happens in a free market. There are corrections.
Now, we have the king liberal and all his cronies. They have done nothing but spend, spend, spend. They have gone out and told us that it is up to us to tighten our belts and start to live within our means. However, they do the exact opposite. They spend money like there is no tomorrow. They haven't even come up with a way to pay it back. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that our national deficit will be as high as $10Trillion. The current administration is using class envy to try and sell us on a bunch of new taxes that no one seems willing to call them on. The Cap-and-Trade crap that they are currently trying to shove down our throats, by the king liberal's own admission, will, necessarily, cause our utility bills to skyrocket.
The one major thing that the liberals don't want us to put together is the fact that consumers pay taxes. We pay our taxes, then, when we buy something, we pay that companies taxes. So, if you raise the taxes on a company, they pass that cost along to the consumer. So, even though Obama can say that he gave a tax cut to, however many, Americans, at the same time he is raising taxes on the companies who then pass it on to the consumers, Americans. The problem is, that when he raises the taxes on all of the companies, we end up paying more. So, in reality, he is raising our taxes because our dollars don't go as far.
If we look at history, there are two common threads that run through all of these events. One is that it is all about grabbing more power for the people in charge, at the expense of individual freedom and liberty. The second thing is this, the Democrats use crisis to further their agenda. As Rahm Emanuel once quipped, "every crisis is an opportunity." Yes, it is. An opportunity for the Democrats to take advantage of. An opportunity for them to wedge more animosity in the hearts of Americans and to seize more power for themselves. An opportunity for them to make the average American more dependent on federal government than ever before. Exactly the opposite of what the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were written for. In other words, make us slaves to the federal government.
Either way you put it, the Democrats have always stood for slavery. It has only changed forms.

I will open this post with two quotes. The first is from the blog Mere Rhetoric.
House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.) enlisted two senior committee members to help assemble the House energy bill... The authors' bottom line was a cap that would gradually reduce greenhouse gas emissions... When Obama entered the fray on May 5, summoning all 36 committee Democrats to the White House, he didn't make a single demand. Rather, participants say, he pointed to a portrait of Abraham Lincoln and said, "He had a chance to affect history. You, too, have a chance to affect history."
The second is from the man that the king liberal pointed to. The 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln.
"Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built."
Now, does the man that the king liberal pointed to sound like the same man that said that the rich should be an encouragement to others? I think not.
Now, this is in regard to the Cap & Trade bill that passed the House by a vote of 219-212. 44 Democrats voted against it. 8 Republicans voted for it. That's right, if even half of the Republicans that voted for it, the bill will never have gotten out of the House. The 8 that voted for this tax hike are from the states of California, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Illinois and Washington. As a matter of fact, this will be the LARGEST tax hike in US history if it gets past the Senate.
Speaking of the Senate, the Democrats now control 60 seats in the Senate. Yes, Al Frankin is now, officially, the second Senator from Minnesota.
Now, back to the Cap & Trade bill. The bill that got through the House includes a 300 page amendment that was added at 3:00 AM the morning of the vote. This amendment would give Democrat Marcy Kaptur in, Ohio , $3.5BILLION to hand out as she sees fit for "green" technology. That is what they needed for her vote. That's just ONE vote. Inside the rest of this bill are things like having to have your home inspected by the EPA prior to you selling it. This is also a bill the the king liberal even said, last year, that would cause utility bills to, NECESSARILY, sky rocket. He actually admitted that the cost to the utility companies would be passed on to the consumer.
So, he actually gets it. That when you raise taxes for companies, they aren't the ones who pay those taxes. It gets passed on to the consumers. The costs go up, so the price goes up. He actually admitted that the people he is hurting are the very people that he has promised to help.
We NEED to get a hold of our Senators and tell them that we will not stand for this. This bill needs to be defeated in the Senate. That is our last chance. Otherwise, we will be paying out of our noses.
The next thing I want to mention is that Sarah Palin will resign as Governor of Alaska. Effective at the end of this month. No matter what the reasons are, or her future plans, I wish her and her family well in whatever they decide to do.
Now, I saved the most important for last. I have given nearly 20 yrs. of my life in defense of this country and the way of life that many have come to take for granted. On this 4th of July, Independence Day, the day we celebrate the Birthday of the GREAT COUNTRY, I will celebrate my last one in uniform. I would like to take the time to recognize the men and women who are currently serving in uniform. These are the people who need our gratitude. They are the people who keep us safe, day and night. Along with those, are the men and women who have gone before us. It is because of them, I have had the opportunity to defend the people of this country. I thank them. And, we can't forget the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for this country. I can never express what that means to me. To know that someone, who I don't even know was willing to give their life so that I could enjoy the freedoms and liberties that I do.
So Happy Birthday to the United States of America. And may GOD continue BLESS AMERICA!

I got the following video from LiveLeak via Ms.Underestimated. It is amazing to me that what Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson says is what conservative talk show hosts were saying all last year. This is the reason that they were making a big deal out of what Rev. Wright was saying in the pulpit.
As was said last year, you can't believe that the king liberal could sit in the pews of Rev. Wright's church and not believe the filth that he was preaching. This is the man that people voted to be our leader. I know that the regular media didn't give a whole lot of credit to the Rev. Wright's words. Shoot, even Obama himself said that he had never heard him say stuff like that. Everyone bought it. He said that he could no more disown Rev. Wright than he could disown his own grandmother. Then, two weeks later, when it became politically expedient, he did just what he said he couldn't do.
Oh yeah, and by the way, I have to say that it is about time that someone stood up to what the federal government is trying to do. It is great to see that Arizona is taking a proactive approach to this health care boondoggle.
This man got elected for three reasons. One, he was able to tell people what they wanted to hear. His true colors started to come out when Joe the Plumber asked him about taxes. Remember, He said that he wanted to share the wealth. Not his, mind you. But, everyone else's. Well, look at what he is doing now. The "stimulus" bill raised the limits for unemployment. He has taken a vested interest, in the name of the government, in over 500 companies. He is pushing for the power to tell every financial institution what they can and cannot pay their employees. He controls two of the "Big Three" Auto makers.
The second thing he did to get elected was to turn down public funds for his campaign. This was after he promised to take the funds. He spent so much money that he even had his own channel to blast his infomercial 24 hours a day. The man wasn't even able to keep a promise then. Nobody ever listened to what he said. He is doing exactly what he has said he was going to do. He would put on a very eloquent persona while in the public eye and then tell exactly what he thought behind closed doors. He even got careless about that once in a while. Remember when he said that he was going to pass the cap-and-trade bill even though it would necessarily cause everyone's utility bills to skyrocket. He even said that it would put some companies out of business. He doesn't care. He wants POWER.
The third reason that he got elected was the fact that the majority of the media was so enamoured with him that they refused to let the public know the whole truth. They only would report the good things. They did not, and do not, have faith in the general public to make the right choice when they vote. They are still not covering the outright illegal activities of ACORN. An organization the the king liberal has direct ties to. The "stimulus" has even given MILLIONS of dollars to ACORN and actually named them as people to work the census. These are not the people that should be in charge of drawing legislative district lines. They have been under investigation in several states for voter fraud.
It is time we take this country back. Back from the Statist Democrats that want the federal government to have all the power. Back from the people that think that hard work needs to be punished. Back from people who think that everyone has a right to be prosperous, no matter what they do. And, especially, back from the people who think that the Constitution is something that is constricting. That think that it "doesn't tell what the government must do." The Constitution was designed to limit government. To celebrate the individual and his/her abilities to do what they needed to do to pursue their dreams. We are not a bunch of people who can be led around mindlessly. We are a group of individuals that must be allowed to decide what is best for ourselves.
WE ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I know that a lot has been made of the happenings over in Iran over their elections. The current regime has even shot a few people who are protesting the election. And, now, Iran has finally admitted that there are some irregularities. Such as, more votes in over 50 cities than actual number of voters in those cities. The Internet and the news is chock full of videos and pictures of the mayhem that ensues over there.
But, here on the home front, there is a fight going on. A fight for us to keep our individual rights and freedoms. A fight against hypocrisy. A fight for the very way of life that many people have given their lives to defend.
Now, I know that the things that are going on in Iran are an all out assault on freedom, but, if we look away for too long, our freedoms will be gone as well.
Two years ago, the king liberal, who was then a senator, co-sponsored a bill that would require a president to give 30 days notice and a reason, in writing, to Congress to fire an Inspector General. Now, he has gone totally against this LAW to fire Gerald Walpin, the IG for the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). This company oversees and distributes billions of federal dollars to many charitable organizations. Mr. Walpin is being fired after investigating misuse of funds by an organization that Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson is involved in. Mr. Johnson happens to be a very staunch supporter of the king liberal himself. The reason that was given, only after Senators held to the law and demanded a reason, was that Mr. Walpin was "incoherent and appeared to be disoriented" during a meeting held back in May. I mean, heck, Mr. Walpin was even asked to speak at a conference this week (he got uninvited after all this happened). The very same conference that Mrs. king liberal spoke at yesterday.
And, talk about coincidence.....Mrs. king liberals' ex-chief-of-staff, Jackie Norris, has been assigned as a "senior advisor" at CNCS. Now tell me she had nothing to do with firing Mr. Walpin.
Add to this the fact that the Democrats are trying to shove so much debt down our throats that we will have no choice except to be a socialist country, and this country is in more trouble than anyone could have thought. I mean, the so called "stimulus" bill that was passed in January even punished some of the people that were on food stamps because it raised the amount of welfare that they received, therefore, making them ineligible for food stamps. This is the kind of thing that happens when no one has a chance to read the legislation (as was promised) before they are forced to vote on it. Oh, yes, and don't forget about the 150,000 or so jobs that have actually been saved or created by this "stimulus". Unemployment has gone up by an average of approx. 500,000 per month since the passing of this bill, so, in reality, we are still in the negative by quite a bit.
Let's not forget about "Health Care Reform". This is just another way for these people to grab more power. The bill that was originally introduced, by the king liberal, was going to cost about $1TRILLION and only provide coverage for about 16 Million people. The estimate is that there are about 40 Million people without coverage. By the way, there is already a National Health Care program. It's called Medicare/Medicaid. The government has so mis-managed this program that it is predicted that it is going to run out of money during our lifetime. Are these the people we want telling us what kind of medical care we can get? I think not.
There are two states that are in grave danger of going bankrupt. California and New York. And, yet, the Speaker of the House is that lying, traitorous Nancy Pelosi, from California. And, Barbara Boxer, a Senator from California, thinks so highly of herself, that she actually attacked a General who was testifying for calling her "Ma'am" instead of Senator, a title that she thinks she has worked hard to earn. Now, on this point, I have to agree with Neal Boortz who went on a 10 minute tirade about who in that room actually "earned" their title. But, these are the people who are trying to tell us what we need to do as a country. They are from a state that is in financially in crisis and they want to make our federal government like their state government. What kind of sense does that make?
Remember when Joe Biden said that there was going to be a crisis to test the mettle of this guy (Obama)? Well, I think that between Iran and North Korea, we could be facing that crisis. However, it may also prove to be the perfect distraction the king liberal needs to get his Health Care agenda passed while we aren't looking. I don't mean to say that we shouldn't concern ourselves with the violence that is going on in Iran, or the very real threat that North Korea poses, but, we must be careful not to forget about the threat that our country faces domestically as well.

I guess I have been kind of waiting to see exactly how all of this was going to play out, but, silent I can no longer be.
You may ask yourself what cars and politics have in common. Well, up until the end of 2008 about the only thing that they had in common was that politicians sure like to regulate what the average gas mileage a line of cars was. But, then everything changed. Now, they are so intertwined that you can't tell where one ends and the other begins.
I was reading over at the Gateway Pundit about the closing of Chrysler dealerships. It seems that any dealership that gave money to the GOP was in danger. If you examine the 789 dealerships that were closed, they gave money to the GOP over the Democratic Party at a ratio of 42-1 (for every dollar given to the Democratic Party, $42 was given to the GOP). Now, I am actually hearing on CNN Headline News that Congressional hearings are being held about the closing of these dealerships.
Another thing that directly ties these two things together is the fact that in bankruptcy proceedings, without regard to the actual bankruptcy laws, the United Auto Workers (UAW) Union is actually gaining ownership in Government Motors and Chrysler/Fiat. Now, I must ask, "Why in the world should one of the biggest contributors to the problems that these two companies are facing should actually gain from this?" The answer is actually quite simple. The UAW has been one of the biggest contributors to the Democratic Party and to the king liberal himself. It is a reward for their loyalty.
I know I have included a letter from Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) before, but, one I just received puts all of this into perspective.
The bankruptcy filing of General Motors last week didn’t have to be this way.
GM could have – and as many of us argued at the time, should have – declared bankruptcy last December. Our bankruptcy laws exist to give troubled companies a chance to restructure their business models and get out from under crushing debts.
But now, after we lost $50 billion in a misguided bailout scheme, the bankruptcy GM is entering is not even real bankruptcy. It’s a political bankruptcy, brokered by the Obama administration to reward the very people who helped to destroy the company in the first place.
Under the agreement, investors and creditors were wiped out, while the federal government, the Canadian government, and the labor bosses will own 90 percent of the new company.
Going forward, GM won’t be able to make the tough business decisions necessary to get back to profitability. They will be second-guessed and overruled by politicians in Washington. Meanwhile, as GM becomes a government program, car companies that are succeeding will have to compete at an unfair disadvantage – all because the labor bosses funneled millions of dollars to Democrat candidates over the last few election cycles.
It isn’t fair, and it needs to stop.
Broken companies and greedy labor bosses shouldn’t be rewarded for their failures. Washington needs to get out of this quagmire before politicians do to our auto industry what they’ve already done to our financial system.
A free auto market will help revive our industrial economy, and give GM its best chance to succeed.
As always, freedom will work…if we let it.

(I have to say something here, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is actually the Senator from the district in which I vote, but, I get more information out of Sen. DeMint's office than I do from his, so, I do use Sen. DeMint more often.)
I for one, am of the belief that these two companies should have filed for bankruptcy if they were in trouble to begin with. Just as the financial companies should have. That's the beauty of capitalism. If a company is managed poorly, it fails. The bankruptcy system allows these companies to restructure and try to recover. Airlines have done it in the past. Some have survived. Some have perished. Either way, the unions have had to make concessions so that the companies can survive.
The UAW has made no discernible concessions. They say that their people get paid an average of $28 per hour while Toyota and other foreign companies building cars in the United States pay their employees an average of $30 per hour. This is true. However, the one thing they don't want you to know is this: the foreign companies do not have to deal with the UAW. But, because of the UAW, the average cost of building one vehicle for GM, Chrysler, or Ford is up around $75 per hour. There are some people who actually make more money by not working than they ever did when they were actually producing something for the company, plus, the companies actually spend more money, per hour, on people who don't actually work for them anymore than they do on the production workers themselves. I don't know about you, but, this just seems totally backwards to me.
You combine this with the fact that the federal government loves telling the car companies what kinds of cars they need to make and it is no wonder that they are having financial problems.
A recent report showed that GM had 20 vehicles that actually made a profit. Now, when you consider that GM includes GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac, Hummer, and SAAB, 20 vehicles making a profit is not all that many. But, of those 20 vehicles, 11 of them are trucks and SUV's. These are the very vehicles that Democrats want to get rid of. They want the company to build vehicles that are "more environmentally friendly". In other words, they want the company to build cars that only a handful of people actually want to buy.
The king liberal has also stated that he had no desire to run these companies. However, actions speak louder than words. He has actually forced the GM CEO to resign. He has assigned a CAR CZAR. What in the world is that if it isn't someone in HIS administration to tell these companies what they can and cannot do?
What is happening in this country is EXACTLY what the founders and writers of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence didn't want to happen. However, the king liberal looks at the Constitution as a restriction. He feels that instead of telling what it's limits are, it should say what the government SHOULD do.
CARS and POLITICS. They shouldn't be synonymous, however, today, they are.

If this looks, or sounds familiar, it is because it is the First Amendment to the Constitution. The very first of the Bill of Rights. Why did I start out with this? Read on.
It seems that among all of the other stuff going on, a story from San Diego County missed the national spotlight.
A pastor and his wife were required to get a permit to hold a Bible Study in their home.
It seems that on April 10 (Good Friday), a county code enforcement officer visited the home of David and Mary Jones after receiving a complaint about their Christian gatherings. The Jones' attorney, Dean Broyles, president of The Western Center for Law & Policy, conveyed in disbelief, "The county asked (Mrs. Jones), 'Do you have a regular meeting in your home?' She said, 'Yes.' 'Do you say "amen"?' 'Yes.' 'Do you pray?' 'Yes.' 'Do you say "praise the Lord"?' 'Yes.'"
The officer then warned the family to "cease and desist" the "religious gathering" or they would face weekly fines. A few days later, the county delivered a citation claiming that the Joneses were guilty of "unlawful use of land" and mandating them to "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit."
Now, this wasn't a huge group of people. It only averaged about 15 people. This is nothing more than an attack on our First Amendment rights. Both the right to freely exercise our choice of religion as well as our right to peaceably assemble (and the peaceable assembly part is intended for public places). Not to mention, that someone who had done NOTHING WRONG had their privacy invaded.
Now, our beloved king liberal has gone overseas and made a speech in Cairo that the White House says is designed to bridge the gap between the Muslim world and the United States. But, I believe that he is doing nothing but showing weakness. Just as he has done in World Policy since he took his oath of office. He has shown great resolve in turning our extremely strong republic into a very weak socialist country.
Just read for yourselves. I am only giving you the first six paragraphs of this article, but, the point is made very well. By the way, this article was in Pravda. That's right, the Russian newspaper.
It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.
Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
Now, the saying goes if we can't learn from the mistakes of the past, we are destined to repeat them. We have been going down the path to socialism for quite a while. The introduction of "nationalized medicine" is just another cog in the wheel. A man in Parliament in Great Britain has even warned us to learn from them. He says they are about 10yrs ahead of us in regard to socialized medicine.
The king liberal even had a line in his speech today that went something like this, "a world organization that places a group of people above another group of people is destined to fail." Now, he has spent a great deal of time apologizing for our past. The very past that has made us the WORLD'S ONLY SUPER POWER. The very past that has rescued Europe from the tyranny of dictators more than once. The very past that has supported those whose sole desire is to have an inkling of the freedoms that we enjoy (and, for the most part, take for granted).
Have we made mistakes? Sure. But, honestly, WHAT IN THE WORLD DO WE HAVE TO APOLOGIZE FOR? We have worked hard and sacrificed a great deal to have the place we have in the world today. It wasn't because we were entitled to it. It was because we EARNED it.
The pastor and his wife were just the beginning. We have taken our freedoms for granted far too long. If this man has his way, we will all be the same. No matter how hard we work. Those who work hard to make something will be no better off than those who sit around on their lazy hind ends. The people who work hard will give up everything they have so that those who don't will have. We SHOULD have social envy. But, only in the regards that it should be a driving force for people to work hard to get the things they want. People who make money are not evil. They are not the enemy. They should be the example of what everyone can do if they put their mind to it.

I know I haven't been blogging regularly. Give me another week to finish my classwork. Then, I will have more time, even though I will be knee deep in finding a job.
I have been keeping track of everything that is going on. However, even though this blog has taken on a very political theme, and, I do have several thoughts that I will be putting down very soon, I wanted to take a moment to recognize Memorial Day.
This is one very important holiday to me. I know that it has gotten to the point that Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer for most people, but, to me, it is still about what it was meant to be. A time to remember those great Americans who have given their lives in defense of this country and our way of life.
Now, being active duty (soon to be retired) military, I appreciate the thank-you's and the recognition for my service, which, by the way, has been one of the greatest pleasures I have known, this holiday is not about me, the men and women who are serving now, or those who have served and are home to enjoy the fruits of their service. It is about those who never came back to their earthly home. Those whom we owe our very lives to because they gave theirs for ours.
So, if you read this, please take the time to thank the Good Lord above (no matter how you choose to address or worship Him) for those men and women who have given their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have, live the lives we live, and have the opportunities we have to make a better life for ourselves and our families.
I, for one, am extremely grateful for the opportunity these men and women have given me to serve this great country and you, the citizens who live here.
So, HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY. Enjoy your day, as I am sure that those who we are remembering would want you to.

I saw a commercial the other day. It basically blamed the insurance companies for the cost of health care getting so high. It said that we already have the answer that everyone can turn to. MEDICARE. Can you believe that? It said that Medicare was the answer to the current cost of health care and the fact that a growing number of people seem to be going without health care.
The next morning, I heard a report that said that Medicare would be broke about four years earlier than they were predicting before. And now, the new administration is pushing Congress to come up with some legislation to reform this country's health care system.
I got a letter from Senator Jim DeMint the other day that pretty much sums up everything that I feel about this.

It is now clear that Congress and the president’s top priority for 2009 is health care reform.
Since the collapse of Hillary-Care in 1994, Democrats have been working to re-plan and re-package a government takeover of your health insurance.
This year, they’re hoping to get their chance. Last month, Senator Ted Kennedy offered a glimpse of what they have in mind when called for the creation an optional, "public health insurance plan, where coverage is provided in the public interest."
That may sound nice, but in one sentence, it describes everything that is wrong with a government take-over of American health care.
Health care, by definition, can’t be provided in the public interest because no doctor has ever seen "the public." Doctors see patients: one at a time, providing personal care in the patient’s interest only.
Now, if you listen to the ongoing debate about health care reform, you hear a common theme, especially from those who favor a government take-over.
They talk a lot more about costs than they do about care. Only here’s the thing: the government is the reason that costs are spiraling out of control now. Government now covers 100 million Americans, and costs are exploding. Under the proposed takeover, 130 million more will be added to government health programs. How can they expect to get costs under control by doubling the government’s role in health care?
The answer is by rationing care. If government wants to cover 230 million Americans and bring down costs, the only way it can possibly do it is denying care to people whose health care is deemed – you guessed it – not in the public interest.
Under similar schemes in Canada and Great Britain, people wait weeks to see their doctors, months to see specialists, and years to get routine procedures and treatments. High-tech tests and breakthrough medicines are off-limits because the government decides – in the public interest – that they are too expensive.
When the late actress Natasha Richardson suffered her skiing accident in Canada this spring, the hospital didn’t have an MRI machine. The doctors never knew her injuries were life-threatening… until it was too late.
That’s how a government take-over of your health care will try to get costs under control: cheap, outdated treatments, long waiting lists, and low-tech hospitals. It won’t take long before families realize the true costs of such a plan aren’t counted in dollars and sense.
Instead of the government-controlled "public option," we should move toward a "personal option," where we help individuals and families buy and own their own health insurance plan that no government can ever take-over or take away.
Health care is personal and private. It should be administered by doctors and nurses in their patient’s interest, not the interests of politicians and bureaucrats in Washington.
Because never forget: any law that empowers government to provide health care in the public interest implicitly empowers government to deny it for the same reason.

And then, to top all of this off, Nancy Pelosi's true colors have been coming out lately. She is a lying, coniving woman who will do anything to try and keep her position and her power. She has blatently come out and said that everyone has lied to her when she is the one who has changed her story. Over and over again. Since she is third in line to the President, she has an obligation to know the things that she at first said she didn't know about. Then, she was briefed but didn't realize that she didn't realize that the techniques were already in use.
Now, either she is lying, which, by the way, there are at least three witnesses that says she is, or she is as incompitent as the king liberal. I mean, how else do you explain putting the safety of the men and women in uniform, as well as every red blooded American, in jepordy by exposing the techniques used to get information that has saved so many lives. Now, if our Navy Seals and other Special Forces can go through this treatment as part of their training, how can it be torture?
We need to get out and vote next year and turn the tables to ensure that the king liberal stays in check and doesn't go and change our country into something that we don't recognize. He is already well on his way. He has taken over the banking industry and the automotive industry. He is now turning his sights on the whole financial industry. Trying to think of ways in which he can impose salary caps on the entire financial industry.
This is not America. No one person is supposed to have enough power to tell people how much money they can make. Or be able to tell companies how much they can pay. This country was founded on the freedoms of the individual with limited power to the government. The Democrats have completely turned it around the other way and we are headed down a path that will change America. It was founded on the Free Market system, where you can make as much money as people were willing to pay you for your goods and/or services.
We need to take this country back!

Well, I know that I have been silent for quite a while. I would even have kept quiet right now, because I have a lot of things going on over here right now, but, I just could not leave some of the things that have been going on alone.
We have one of the biggest hypocrites leading this country in the history of this great nation. He says that we are on a path that will return the United States back to being respected as a leading nation in the world. All the king liberal and Hillary Clinton (known from now on as the queen liberal) have been doing is going around and apologizing on behalf of our country. Well excuse me, but, I truly don't feel like we have anything to apologize for. All we have done is protect just about every country in Europe from being taken over by Hitler and Mussolini. Liberated both Kuwait and Iraq from a tyrant leader who was killing over 3000 of his own people a month. As well as liberating Afghanistan from the tyranny known as the Taliban. We have also come out of the Cold War with a victory. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO APOLOGIZE FOR??
He is taking credit for ending the war in Iraq. Well, first of all, as I have said before, it is a front on the War on Terror (oh, wait, the overseas contingency plan). Second, the business of pulling troops out of Iraq was agreed on by Bush and started by him. The king liberal has done NOTHING in regards to pulling troops out of Iraq except to follow the plan that was already in place.
He blames Bush for the status of the economy. Bush is one of the people that tried to warn the Democratically run Congress that the economy was going to be in trouble if something wasn't done, at least 3 years ago. McCain even tried to get something done back in 2005 and was told that it was witch hunt.
This man has spent more money than ALL of the other presidents in the history of this country COMBINED. A budget blueprint was passed through Congress today. The Democrats say that it is going to lower the deficit to about $518BILLION by 2014. However, the budget for the year beginning on Oct 1 of this year will spend $3.7TRILLION. Over a third of which is going to be borrowed. The king liberal has the audacity to tell the American people that he knows that we are having to tighten our individual belts and live within our means when he truly has no intention to do the same thing with the money that we give them to spend. As a matter of fact, he is even using the fact that we are having to tighten our belts as an excuse to spend more money.
He even has the audacity to ask a Catholic school, Georgetown, to cover up all of the things that showed any type of religious symbols when he gave a speech there. THEY DID IT! Then, he mentioned the speech that Jesus gave known as the Sermon on the Mount and used one of the parables to try and tell us that he was trying to rebuild the economy on a rock instead of in the sand.
The unions are now in charge of both Chrysler and GM with the government owning a very large share of the stock in both of these companies. As well as running almost all of the banking industry.
This man has done nothing except begin to turn our country into a laughing stock in every third world country that is run by a tyrant dictator. Hugo Chavez sure believes that he can do whatever he wants now. As does Ahmadinejad. Shoot, even he is now setting preconditions for meeting with the king liberal who has over and over again said that he would meet without preconditions.
Add to this the fact that the man never took the oath of office as prescribed in the Constitution, and it really makes you wonder just how far this is going to go. I mean, he has two years of clear sailing before we can even try and get a Congress that has its head screwed on right to stop this man.

On Thursday I blogged about the oath of office that the king liberal took on 20January. Well, I have to apologize because I got it wrong. But, not totally. The Constitution actually tells us what the oath of office for the Presidency will be. It is the last paragraph of Article II Section 1. Here it is:
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation -- "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."
So, I got the wrong section of the Constitution, but, the idea was the same. There is still a part in there about the Constitution and it was never mentioned in the oath that the king liberal took.
Now, on to other things. Tomorrow we celebrate, that is to me, one of the most important holidays we have. Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. His victory over death and sin in our name. This is the very basis of Christianity and, therefore, the very basis for the foundation of this country.
The Bible tells us that Christ died for our sins. We are born into sin. That's just a fact of life. There is no way that any human can live up to the Ten Commandments. Therefore, we are sinners. And, as such, we are destined for an eternity of torment in the pits of Hell. Christ payed the fine for us much the same way that in a court of law, a judge can let us go free if we pay the fine. Otherwise, he has to put us in jail. All we have to do is repent and put all of our belief and faith in Him. Then, we will be before the Almighty on Judgement Day with a clean slate. Our sins will be washed away with the very blood of His Son Jesus Christ. We will have an eternity of beauty and bliss worshipping at the very throne of our Lord.
This is what Easter means to me. It is the very reason we have the opportunity to have a direct relationship with our Father. It is the guarantee that if we believe, and put our faith in Him, we will have a place in Heaven with Him.
So, if you are saved, and have a relationship with our Lord, I look forward to seeing you all in Heaven. If not, then, please, take a good look at your life and compare it to the Ten Commandments and be realistic about whether or not you deserve Heaven or Hell. Then, all you have to do is pray and ask Him into your heart and your life will be changed forever.
